Thanks for that. Discount down south is only 18.4% on each!:jMFWin3T2 No 20 - aim £94.9K to £65K:j

Fixonline v8 --'Discount is not payable on final bills'. What does that mean? Is it on the last quarter if you leave Eon BEFORE the end of v8 Fixed term contract finishing 1st July 2011 or does it apply WHENEVER you leave Eon for another firm, even AFTER that contract date?
Oh, and sorry if its been covered already, but can I also ask same question with reference to the cancellation fees on each fuel please.0 -

It really depends where you are. I get 24.3% "down south".0 -

I think you're quoting only the Online discount - which is indeed regional, and for me is 17.9%. You then have to add the Direct Debit discount of 6% and the Dual Fuel discount of 2% to give a total discount of 25.9%.
I am from "down south" also0 -

Fix online 8 gives me a better discount but NOT if I'm going to be stung for £30.
Could one of the reps please clarify?
Thanks

Hi Little Mama
Sorry if you thought I hadn't answered a question about cancellation fees. I had already replied previously to gocat about this subject in post number 54 and had also discussed a similar thing with Lorian in post 15.
To clarify, Fixonline 6 is a fixed term contract product and a cancellation fee may be charged if the contract is broken before the end date on 1 April 2011. This includes switching to another E.ON product.
The charges which may be applied are £30 for dual fuel and £10 for electricity only.
There is a possibility this will not be applied but can't promise.
Cancellation fees on certain of our older products have been waived in the past. However, the T&C's do state a charge may apply. It very much depends on the circumstances at the time.
If I was you, I would assume the fee will be charged if the terms of the contract are broken; then, if it isn't applied, this will be a bonus.
Sorry for any confusion but hope this clears things up. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be glad to help.

Hi Anglicanpat
No discount on final bills only applies if you change supplier.
Discount will still be applied if you change tariff although the rate may differ depending on the product switched to. This will be in respect of charges after the switch date.
However, if you change supplier after a contract has ended, you will receive the full amount of discount applicable to the contracted product even if part of this falls within the final bill.
For instance, if your switch date is 7 July 2011 and you remain on Fixonline 8 up until the end date of 1 July 2011, you will receive the full discount up until 1 July 2011. Only the charges between 1-7 July 2011 will not be discounted.
Alternatively, if you change supplier before the contract ends on 1 July 2011, you will not receive any discount on the final bill. Therefore, it is always best to time a move away to lessen the impact of this.
On contract cancellation fees, please see my previous post (number 87) immediately above.
Hope this answers your questions, pat. Give me a shout if you are still unsure as will be happy to help further.

I seem to be being billed 6 monthly now, not quarterly, is this normal?0
-
Hi Lorian
Billing frequency depends on the tariff you are on.
All our online tariffs are billed quarterly although, as a paperless system, you will not receive anything through the post. The bill will be issued online and an email sent to the address registered with our website advising it is ready to view.
From a previous post, I believe you are on either Fixonline 4 or 5. If this is the case, you should definitely be being billed quarterly.
Out of interest, when did you register with our website? Just a thought, but if you registered part way through a billing cycle, it may be the move to quarterly billing has been delayed.
I'll be happy to take a look at this for you. Just drop an email to the address in my Profile if you would like me to check.
