Blimey this is confusing. Im on Fixonline 6. Just done a calculator thing where they tell you whether it's better to change and it tells me I will be better off on Fixonline 7.
Trouble is I cant see where the tariffs are so cant see what the savings would be. Also I dont know if EON would charge to change from 6 to 7.

    Can anyone advise.

You can see the tariffs by logging in and clicking 'Switch'. This will show the tariff you are currently on, and the ones available for you to switch. Be careful when comparing 6 to 7. In my case, only gas tier 2 was cheaper, but it was offset by a reduction in the online discount (1.4% in my case) which, of course, applies to the whole bill.

Also, when I changed from 5 to 6, no charge was made.

    Hi aylesby

Sorry you've struggled to find my contact details. They are under my Public Profile in the additional information box - biography. It is the WebForumAdvisors address.

I have located your account from the details posted and sent you an email to the address on file. However, I would strongly advise deleting these details from the forum.

Info about your account should not be on a public forum as it may compromise your security.

    Hi gocat

Geoffo's advice about finding the tariffs on our website is spot on.

Fixonline 6 is a fixed term contract product and a cancellation fee may be charged if the contract is broken before the end date on 1 April 2011. This includes switching to another E.ON product.

The charges which may be applied are £30 for dual fuel and £10 for electricity only.

There is a possibility this will not be applied but can't promise.

Sorry I can't be more specific, gocat, but hope it helps a little. Give me a shout if you need any more info.

When changing from (cant remember the number ) to 6 no charge was made.
But I cant see any tariffs for me to compare 6 and 7 despite logging in.

Funny that cancellation fee since we've just been on the phone to E-On for something else and they mentioned it to us as a potential moneysaver... and my husband, who's a flipping E-On employee didn't even know about the cancellation fee, and the call centre guy sure as heck wasn't mentioning that part on the phone!
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

I can't see mine either at the moment. I think it's because I've changed recently, and you are only allowed one switch in every 3 months. Have you changed in the last 3 months or so?

Sorry guys. Our website is undergoing planned maintenance at the moment and certain facilities are currently unavailable.

The Switch Now option is one of the affected areas.

Please let us know if you would like to switch tariff as this can be done over the phone.

Alternatively, give me a shout through my contact address in my Public Profile. Will be happy to help. :)

    Hi dizziblonde

Sorry our agent didn't tell you about the cancellation fee; he certainly should have.

Details are on our website and are included in the T&C's for customers transferring to the product.

Our employees were told about Fixonline 7 on the afternoon of 24 March. The message included details of the cancellation fees.

Your husband will be able to see this if he checks out the messages for that day. It is also on the company Knowledge Centre if he no longer has the relevant message.

Hope this is useful, dizziblonde. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help. :)

    Hi Geoffo

Just a quick heads up. You can switch tariff online twice every 3 months if you wish (website maintenance permitting, that is :D). Or as many times as you like if you contact us.
