If you change from one Eon tariff to another, do you get 7/14(?) days to change your mind without penalty?

i.e. if someone changed to Fixonline 5 and then Fixonline 6 came out 2 days later - could they change to the newer tariff ?

    Regards
    Sunil

chambta mentioned 18.3% in his comment on previous page (post 29339159)

    :(:(

Are these differences all down to local competition ??? Surprising if so......

No, they are just prejudiced against the Welsh.:rotfl:

Could chambta please confirm this, and give the area (not just Scotland). It was through Quidco, so I wasn't sure it's purely online discount.

Hmm, they like the Scots? Ah, what about the pipeline lands in Aberdeen, so transport is cheaper. Following that theory, there's probably a pipeline from France, so gas for London is cheap. Just idle speculation.

I'm English ! So I'll have to move back to Blighty to get a better discount :( Your better discount would be worth ~ £65 pa !!

    Curiouser and curiouser.

Just did a check using an Edinburgh post code,
and they get 16.40%, BUT the electricity Tier 2 is 9.6705p /kWh, not the same as mine.

FixOnline 5 for my post code is:

Tier 2 electricity is 10.71p /kWh, inc VAT
Tier 2 gas is 3.40725p /kWh inc VAT.
    Direct Debit 6.00%
    Dual Fuel 2.00%
    Online Discount 17.50%

So for electricity, it's equivalent to a 24% online discount in Edinburgh, from my perspective. They really do like the Scots.

    Ceratinly does get stranger !!
My tier 2 gas price is the same as yours but tier 2 electricity is 10.26p/kwh inc VAT so for my usage I'm "saving" £27 vs your tariff !!!!! which is like another 2% discount on the whole bill.
Tier 1 prices - gas 6.525p and electrity 24.23p inc VAT-are they standard across the UK??

    Electricity

    First 900kWh 22.1865p per kWh
    Normal units 10.71p per kWh

    Gas
    First 2680kWh 6.5247p per kWh
    Normal units 3.40725p per kWh

    All inc VAT.

They must have an army of marketing people working on tariffs. At least I now know the online discount doesn't mean as much as I thought. Thanks for responding.

It was arranged through Quidco and I live in Derbyshire.
  • Do's anyony know what the standing charge is on this as I am unable to find any info? Or is it the same as Extra saver 13?

Works out 22% discount for me.

    Many Thanks
