Eon Rep - can you switch from Fix Online 4 to Fix Online 5 without paying the Fee?0

I can confirm that this still hasn't been changed. I found this discussion when I searched online to see if anyone else had noticed.
When you click FixOnline 5, the benefits section talk about FixOnline 4.
Excellent spot steve.
This is different to the typo I had amended previously, which means there were two for the same product.
Have spoken to the website people about having this changed as well. Also, fed back to the manager of the section.
Hopefully, this takes care of them all but if anyone spots another just let me know. Really appreciate the feedback. :T

Hi Lorian
Fixonline 4 is a fixed term contract product and cancellation charges may apply if the terms of the contract are broken before the end date. This is 1 February 2011.
The fee is £10 for electricity only and £30 for dual fuel.
Cancellation fees on certain of our older products have been waived in the past. However, the T&C's do state a charge may apply. It very much depends on the circumstances at the time.
If I was you, I would assume the fee will be charged if the terms of the contract are broken; then, if it isn't applied, this will be a bonus.
Hope this makes things a little clearer Lorian. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.

I've just taken the plunge and requested a switch to this plan, from my current dual fuel deal with Southern Electric (Eneryplus Argos plan).
I was persuaded by Moneysupermarket.com assuring me I would save £360 per year with E.on. Fingers crossed it pans out that way!0 -
I've just instructed a switch to this from Scottish Power.
Saves me money each month plus a £70 kickback from Quidco.
My letter makes mention of an 18.3% discount which seems to compare favourably.0 -
chambta - is that total discount (ie including the direct debit (6%)& dual fuel (2%)discounts) or is that just the online discount ??
If its the online discount only then perhaps Malc, the EON REP would like to comment on the huge differences in regional discounts (I only get 12.4% online discount in S.Wales)0 -
I'm thinking of switching to this tarriff as it gives a nice 24.2% total discount here (Southern England) but in the details of the account it states 'Discount is not payable on final bills'.
Does anyone know if I'm right in assuming that this would only apply if leaving E.ON and not when switching to another tarriff at the end of the fix period?
Maybe E.ON Company Representative can clarify this.
Thanks,

Hi Paul
The loss of discount on final bills only kicks in when changing supplier.
If you change tariff but remain with us, you will still keep all the discount applicable to the former arrangement.
Just a heads up though; a cancellation fee may be applied if you move from Fixonline 5 to another E.ON tariff before the contract end date. Please see my earlier post above (number 15).
Hope this helps Paul. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.
