M&S Online Sale has started!

Just been looking at my orders, and the party outfit I ordered for my DD to wear to a friend's birthday on the 9th Jan, is now expected on the 10th, and a little jewellery set that was meant as the birthday gift, is expected on 19th Feb :rotfl:

I've also got Xmas tags 'Despatching Soon' but the matching paper isn't due til Feb :rolleyes: Not a problem as long as it arrives before December 2010 I suppose but I suspect that it'll eventually be cancelled.

'Delay' is M&S code for 'disappeared'. CS confirmed that I won't be getting either of my orders, and I've just had the 'delayed' email.

I have forwarded my 'order delayed' email to this address, asking them to stop sending misleading emails cos I know from CS that they will not be sending any of my order.

Ordered within the first half hour of the sale going live and was expecting delivery today. Here's part of the email. Wish I'd not bothered now.

I placed 2 x orders before midnight the first larger order has been despatched and has just arrived, the second smaller order placed within 15mins of the first has just been delayed until 6-10Jan.

similar experience here. did big order xmas eve mainly boys clothes for son, supposed to be delivered today and just had the email to say all delayed until estimated date of 10/1. silver ribbon/bow back oos. 2 smaller orders ordered xmas day despatched 2 days ago no problem.

am absolutely furious as went to big m&s in camberley on first day of sale and had all of my order in there but didnt buy any of it as had it on order... or so I thought.

usually do big shop in next sale for sons clothes for following season, looks like going to be very out of pocket now. shocking customer services for big company like m&s. will be sticking to next in future:mad:

Just to let you know my order should have been delivered today and I got the "delayed" email this morning. I was feeling the same as the rest of you, not expecting to get anything once again.

I have just checked my credit card and funds are "earmarked" so I checked my M & S order and sure enough, nearly all my items ordered before midnight xmas eve are showing as "ready to despatch". Only one small item looks as though it is not going to arrive.

So - still hope that you will get most of your orders................. They really do need a better system though!

I also got the delayed email but on checking now all but one of my items are now marked ready to despatched.

Was not very confident that my order would be sent so I am feeling much more optimistic now

Don't get your hopes up until the order is actually with you. An order I placed before Christmas was put into the "despatching soon status" (all items) a day or two after being placed. It was then "delayed" on four separate occassions (the last being 3rd - 6th Jan) which was no use for gifts but I couldn't cancel it via my account.

Customer Services said they couldn't do anything either as it was with their despatch team, but when pushed further they managed to arrange cancellation (although the order is still showing in my account now) and said the reason for the four delays is actually because the item is out of stock and has been since the first delay email.

Same here, ordered a few minutes into xmas day, estimated delivery today but woke up to two e-mails sent about 5 hours apart, first one saying all my items delayed, new delivery estimation 6th-10th jan, second e-mail saying it had all been despatched!!

Placed an order xmas morning - all items received today - very pleased.
