Depending on which part of the surrey/hants border you're on, I'm favouring the Camberley/Sandhurst Tesco Extra due to the big electricials and non-groceries department. I had a look the other just at the expiry dates on the Yellow special offer tickets and saw a nice toaster and kettle combination past it's 'Offer expires' date, didn't get to try tho as recently bought one elsewhere.:think:0 -

Bought it and my bloody connect card rejected again (see post 432) and SA took me to CS desk to sort it out and the CS girl spotted the overprice on the box comparing it to the receipt, amended the price and approved my card, called over to SA and asked her to remove all Sudoku from sale and change the stickers and then said "luckilly for us I spotted the overprice before the card authorisation came through and charged this gentleman the correct price".
Leaving me to make out as if I was pleased that I didn't get overcharged and thanking her for saving me a fiver. Didn't dare look her in the face cos' I didn't want to see her smugness.
What's the return policy on games? Stuck with a game that cost me £15.00.
Some of you will be laughing at me now but, hey,..... you lose some, you lose some, that's my policy!!!
Will have to try doubly hard tomorrow.
You may struggle with Suduko - as it's not sealed - you could argue that it was sold in this condition - point to the same game in a security box that is also sans cellophane.

I've been searching through the thread, but there is quite a lot of it now, so apologies if my question has been answered already.
How do people remember what the SEL prices are when they are checking their receipt? Is it a question of writing everything down as you go around, on the off chance that it is wrong?
Also, I have seen reference to self-scanning. Is this where you use the self service till, or something else? If the later, where do you find scanners to use on shopping before going to the tills?0 -

I just remember the misprices..however its enough just to say the shelf price was diferent as they have to go and check it anyway.
I think self-scanning has been used to describe both of what you said. Most stores have price checking scanners in them - just ask a member of staff where it is.0 -

I got the Sudoku game last night on a R&R. I was a bit wary, cos I had to go through a cashier as there were no self scans. I always try to find the cashier who talking to her mates or other cashier, as GENERALLY, they don't take as much notice of what they are scanning.....worked for me last night!Nothing can compareTo when you roll the dice and swear your love's for me0

muffinhead wrote:My problem wasn't really to do with a bulk purchase policy. There is a tiny sign behind the CS desk, which I couldn't read properly, but it was specifically to do with R&R and overcharging on products. It limited full refunds to only three items and the difference on the remainder. It was a typed up laminated sign with a biro written '3' on it
The only notice of bulk buy I've seen in Tesco's Reading is in the bread section where I think you're limited to five loaves of bread!
This goes against Tesco HQ policy and should you ever fall foul of it then simply ask them to ring head officeOnly time will tell if I am right or they are wrong0
