I think that Trading Standards and Head Office would like to know that. I think Brent Park would be told to remove it immediately.

I read a notice behind cs desk about bulk purchases. I cannot remember it mentioning refunds as such, just the buying of large numbers being allowed at the stores discretion. I think I would have taken much more notice if I thought it was endagering R&R ( not that I have ever tried more than one at a time  )
I took it exactly the same way as Hey Dude - as per system operated by Safeway.
On their big 2 weekly "Loss Leaders" they would limit it to 3 items per customer, although depending on the sa on the tills this could be 3 of each flavour eg Robinsons squash for say 40p, but you could get dozens if your store had all the flavour combinations in stock.
They even had it printed on their flyer that was pushed thru the letter box, but staff would stress it only applied to those on front page ( really cheap offers ) and not to rest on items advertised or stock generally. I must admit I had seen people with trolley full of say soup, or beans, or ( hate to say it) sugar who were quite clearly using Safeway as their Wholesale supplier !!;)
BTW, slightly off topic, but while I was checking out notices, spotted 2 contradictory ones, which has been discussed on another thread a while back. Return policy of underwear and swimwear. One said they were not returnable, other said they were. CS said now they all are returnable ! Presume they have had to bow to public pressure on this one0 -
Hi all,
As many others, I have been watching this board for a while before finally giving it a go tonight. Went to a midlands store where I bought, along with some normal grocery (assume this detracts attention), the kettle and toaster mention on here earlier today. Many many thanks to the original poster.
Kettle 44.94
Toaster 34.94
Charged £79 odd +other items
SEL marked save 17.47 when you buy both. Dated 30/07/06 (I think, out of date anyhow).
CS said that because the date on the offer ticket is no longer valid r & r does not apply. Is this not the basis of most r & r's bwing done. However, being a soft sod, accepted an offer by cs of refunding the toaster and keeping both. So got a free toaster but thought maybe I should have been refunded both. SEL removed BTW.
Any advice greatly appreciated, and congrats for the amazing board (also suprisingly addictive).
Thanks,

You should have got both free. The price was misleading and its illegal to charge a price higher than twhat the SEL says.0 -
Thanks for the reply,
What are the next steps then, considering I have accepted the free toaster.

CS also said that the old manager used to allow it but they have had a new one and he doesn't. He's apparantly only been there 2 months. It is the sutton colfield branch.0

Accept it and move on, a little bit wiser.
There will always be more opportunities and you do not want to draw attention to yourself.
