Staff haven't yet been trained, and to be honest the chances of that hapenning by Monday ranges between minimal and zero. The function is on the tills now, I guess some staff may work it out for themselves, others will be asking team leaders Monday morning.
The amount of points is at cashier discretion. Coming in and packing one item in each bag proabably wont get you loads of points, but then what does constitute a full bag? There is no guidlines on how cashiers are supposed to guage how many bags have been saved. I can just imagine the "last week this box was worth 5 points what are you on about its only worth 3 now" arguments and the like.
Oh I can't wait to see this go t*ts up!
I think we can both agree it's going to be a mighty f&&k up! I have spoken to at least thirty Tesco staff about this so far and only two of them had an inkling of what it would mean to them and how to apply the policy, the most common response was "Oh f*&^k no surely not!" or something of that ilk.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
i know slightly off thread, but cant wait until monday....i will be packing my bags like those tescos little helpers do...about 3 items to a bag.:D
i have been stocking up on carrier bags over the last week.....another thought i was also thinking of getting those smaller carrier bags that you get from the market traders.. you know the type.....they will only hold about 3 tins of baked beans...and it IS a proper carrier bag... tescos dont mention a size do they
wil also go in with a list of r & r 's listed on sunday.... so the cs and all the supervisors will have a lovely monday..:DWork to live= not live to work0 -
Was I a bit optimistic to expecta 'Sorry Madam'.
Oh well words mean nothing £9+ is far nicer .
My local stores CS girls are a miserable lot they just scan the item & hand me the refund,I get a kick out of asking what they found"I took her to a supermarket,I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere" :cool:0 -
How do you find out if the price is higher??
For eg, if a yellow SEL says £49.99 and is out of date, so you take the phone and get charged £49.99 anyway, then your stuck with the phone right? Same for meat and stuff.
Do you just do the yellow SELS? and do you just hope for the best at the checkout?
I can imagine thinking I have lots of out of date things and then being charged the correct price at the till and being lumbered with it. How do you check what the price will be first?
Thanks0 -

Passionpantz wrote:Got my 1st R&R today on pork loin joints-packaging £2.57llb-sel £258llb, cs was no problem at all and even apologised to me.:T
I had 2 of these from Stalham (norfolk) today. Watch out though. Mr T only sells by the KG, not the lb. Therefore, it's the Kilogram weight you need to watch. The price per lb is put on for information - though I'm not sure of the legal position.
However, becuase of the considerable weight difference between a kg and a lb, you might come unstuck with a 1p per lb difference.
For me the SEL was £6.48 per kg and the product was £6.49. Given that it's only a penny and the packs are about .56 of a kg, it's debatable whether you've actually been overcharged by one whole penny anyway...... If not, this is an easy argument for CS.0 -
Thanks ... as I thought, none in my local store but some only a few miles away have them so may be worth the extra petrol money
Thankyou very much!!!!!!!!!0
