Ive seen the bulk purchase posters as well, it isnt somthing that they enforce to strictly especially when your buying normal stuff like beans. They use it to stop people buying a shelf load of stuff that is on offer so other customers can get the offer as well.

Note to self: don't bother with meat misprices...

Went in last night and noticed that the Willow Farm chicken breasts were mispriced (thanks to OP who pointed this out). Stickers said "Was £8.99/kg, now £7.19/kg", but some packs (mine :D) scanned at the higher price.

Well, it's true what they say that the majority of people can't work out percentages...   I'm not great at maths, but even I can work out that if I've paid about £4.40 for a half-kilo pack, I have been overcharged.

It took CS and the duty manager 40 minutes to figure that out.

Did get my money eventually, but was so fed up with Tesco employing people with no mathematical skills whatsoever, or common sense for that matter  (sorry to Tesco employees on this site, who are very capable and helpful :))

Any delay is a tactic to see if you will weaken in your resolve. Stand firm and quote from the Price Promise board which does not mention repaying the difference OR a partial refund.

Stopped in my tracks this morning,in bar hill ,cambs with the sudoko computer game (scanning higher than the sticker)went to self scan as normal and when I scanned this in the till it asked me is this the correct price which of course it wasnt as I was expecting R&R on this YIKES this is a big blow if this is going to come up on all tills, are they checking all prices that may have a sticker on them, can anyone confirm this is happening on the normal tills?

    Any info much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned here that some self-service tills do this now (that's why people have had problems getting R&R if they paid at self-service). Normal tills don't, AFAIK.

Also, for whoever it was earlier that wanted whether Horsham has a scanner - yes they do 3rd or 4th aisle in apparently - check this thread...

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=1520659&postcount=176

Also being asked to add whether a store has a self scan checkout - smartie1976 is doing a great job of collating all the posts on that thread into one master list - so add any extra ones that aren't on there and they'll be added for us all to use!

    Cheers

    Hi Josie

I have seen the self scanner down the tea and coffee aisle in the horsham store, however I have tried and I have watched others try to use it but it doesn't work. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong as the screen says "Please scan item" etc, but when you do nothing happens.

Does anyone know why this is?
Are there anymore in the store?

    Thanks
    Helen

The delay was annoying, but not intentional in terms of denying me my R&R (they're very good at giving refunds at that store). They weren't being horrible, just dozy :)

First I have heard of it. I always go to the manned tills as a matter of course nowadays as it puts the onus on the employee at all times. If I self scanned then the CS might have an argument that I saw the price on the monitor and should have asked for assistance before proceeding.

I know that CS should'nt use this argument but I have had a couple in the past that have muttered under their breath that it was a self scan.

Interested in knowing if anyone else has had this on self scanning.
