most cctv records, although not all, at work we have watched the cctv and printed off known shoplifters to assist with police enquiry
  • So could regular R&R's mug shots be printed off for a rogues gallery behind the customer service desk ?

That would be illegal under the Data Protection Act. Remember that, unlike shoplifters, R+Rers have not committed any sort of offence.
    Can I help?

I find that I have to point out the policy about half the time, as some of the CS staff near me seem intent on offering the difference first.

But don't call it R&R, say something like 'oh, what about your price promise?' and point to the big sign behind them. That does the trick!

The other day I bought some bananas when the SEL said 65p per kg, and of course (having read about it here) they scanned at 85p per kg. I went to CS and the guy made a point of dusting off his calculator and keying in some numbers...I waited a few seconds then said, 'ahem, I think it's just £1.50 isn't it, as it shows on my receipt?'. He got the point!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unless you are in Tesco Ashby - they have a sprawling plant growing below the big sign that effectively obscures the 'If Things Don't Add Up' paragraph at the bottom.

Great fun when CS offered to refund the difference and I pointed to the sign that says "unlikely....things....up....we.....money....keep".

    But she got the point.....

Anybody else had the CS bod sarcastly read the WHOLE 'Our Promise' board when you point out the bit at the bottom after they have offered the difference? I do find that quite amusing...
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

No, but I did have one rather embarrasing incident at Bradford. After been offered the difference for an overcharge, I said 'That's not what it says on the big blue sign over there'.
I then read the sign that I was pointing at which contained nothing else but the electrical items returns policy - there was no sign of the usual sign anywhere.
I felt a bit of a pratt, but still got my R&R!

McDonag, where are you this weekend. Do you only R&R during the week?

I've only had about half a dozen r+r's but I've never had a problem getting a refund. Then again, I only go for about a fivers worth at a time.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done
