A Tesco lady - walking slowly up and down the central aisle - wearing a Red Shirt and walking around with a Big Red Lollipop Sign - both the shirt and sign were printed 'Can I help?'
I kid you not - anyone else seen this malarkey?
I couldn't resist....
Dude - "Hi"
Lollipop - "Hello - can I help"
Dude - "Where's Sainsburys please?"
Lollipop - "Pardon?"
Dude - "Or Asda?"
Lollipop - "I don't know?"
Dude - pointing at the sign "You can help?"
Lollipop - "Pardon?"
Dude - "Can you help?"
Etc etc etc…………………
Slightly off topic Dudes, but it made me chuckle…..

They use them in new stores of stores that are having/have had a refit.
Geneally, the idea is that they help you to find stuff in the store rather than local chav hangouts
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -

If a security guard confronted me I would flash my badge and tell him that I am working for tescos undercover and if he approaches me again when I am on duty, I will sack him, then tell him to p*** off.
That is a bizzare statement. What card is it you would flash?Who or what was I before you came in to my life

My Tesco Clubcard of course!!!
I would show him my SIA Security badge that indicates that I am a Loss Prevention Investigator. I have superiority over him with this id.

Asda have had them for years. Hardly a revolutionary idea. If I see one I'll be asking them if they know what the capital of Iceland is....
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -

Now I know why I kept my Joe 90 World Intelligence Network pass that I got out of a packet of Sugar Smacks in 1969.Can I help?0 -
Ecover didn't even have a SEL price today,so couldn't get anymore after my visit a week & a half ago.
Shame as we have just got back from Devon & the missus has loads of washing to do..
Check out the Egg Fried rice 2 for £2,four bags in a pack, picked up 1 marked 2 for £2 & one not marked..
Given the R&R without delay"I took her to a supermarket,I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere" :cool:0 -

Any chance of telling us which stores you frequent and approx times, I am sure some of us would love to come and watch you in action if we were near enough.0 -
carlyh69 wrote:haha V funny! Does anyone her womble much??? Am trying to save points for a holiday and need all i can get!! Where are the best places to look, without being so obvious!
Be warned!!! I wombled a bit too much recently!
Am I the only person here who has been sent a letter from Tesco HO, saying that they have noticed there have been a lot of manual adjustments on my Clubcard recently? The letter went on to 'remind' me that the Clubcard T&C are that the card should be presented at the till at the time of purchase. Do I have any problems they can help with, have I lost my card etc.?!!!!
Haven't done any wombling since getting the letter, which reads as a polite warning, as I do not want to jeopardise my points. Then today I found a perfect-condition (non-tyre-marked) receipt for over £100 which I am itching to claim the 100+ points for (sorry if this offends you anti-womblers)....think I may have to get a second Clubcard, for OH!
P.S. As this is, of course, the misprices discussion area, I will add one for someone to check out. On certain packs of Tesco beef steaks (priced at about £5.20 per kg), there is a yellow sticker that says something like '£2.50 per kg less than regular Tesco thin beef steak'. Well, the only other 'thin beefsteak' I could find was priced at around £7.48 per kg.
So the first product is not £2.50 less per kg (unless I've missed the right one to compare it with). Maybe one for you meat R&Rers to check out?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
