Last week I got the Ecover refund and the store repriced the shelves at £4.39. Today I checked the price on-line before I went & it said £3.78 as did their price checker. So I bought a box at £4.39- (with try me free) later when I had to go back into town I took a print out with me,after waiting 10 mins I got my refund and was told that yes they should be £3.78 and now they are re-pricing down!!I said that I usually buy Ecover ( I do buy some of their products)and thought it was a huge increase so I checked it.
so did you buy the ecover on-line and have it delivered and then take receipt back into store?

    Hi cousinjack

No I bought in-store I just printed off their own pricechecker page and for good measure started an online order without booking a delivery slot so it showed 1 in basket priced at £3.78 and printed that off as well - took 2 minutes to do and was successful.

Apparently, according to a previous post, Tesco do not reduce the pack price to match the SEL. Well again on yet another product the pack price of £9.99 on mackeral strips has been reduced to match the old SEL price of £9.94 which has been up on shelves for months. So it happens..again and again.

Not sure I quite understand that. Quite often an item will be marked on the packaging at one price, but will be charged at a lower price. A good long-term example is Wildlife Choobs squeeze yoghurt - come in price marked at 99p, price on the SEL is 94p, has been that way for well over a year.

The preasure on reducing net prices results in on pack prices quite regulary becoming out of date. Which I guess is one of the reasons there are so many r & r opportunities for you all ;)
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

I don't quite understand the reasoning here. Why shouldn't Tesco charge less than is marked on the pack if they want to?

    Wow, what a day today.

Samsung Digimax A503 Digital Camera. - SEL £71.86, charged £71.94.
BT Studio 1100 Trio Cordless Phones. - SEL £45.95, charged £49.95 bought x2
Bratz Rock Angel 16" Bicycle. SEL £34.97, charged £34.98. Only bought 1 of these as I had filled up my trolley!!

R&R of £206.85 no problem, in fact they were congratulating me as if I had won the lottery and to be quite honest, I felt that I had. Along with the 206 clubcard points and £1.50 off fuel, a good day all in all.

Now which tescos can I hit tommorrow? Thinking of giving up my full time job and selling on eBay instead. :j :D :A :T ;):p

hmmm, I bet they've got your picture on the wall in Security now!.
Id avoid that store for a bit from now on, or be very careful in the future, as they may choose to ban you which they seem to be doing now to avoid this.

so how does this work - can some1 explain :)

the SEL is the shelf price right.
so if the SEL is less than wot it scans at the till you get the item for free ? or the difference between the prices back ?

I know for a fact that security do not take pictures. Besides , exactly what have I got to be careful about? I am within the law it is Tesco's that is breaking the law.

I am only taking an advantage of their own policy.

Besides, where I live it is very central. I have 15 tesco's stores within my immediate area and it is not a problem for me to drive to others further away. Especially when I get large R&R's every time.
