  • Do you get CS to call Head Office or do you call them yourselves from Mobile?

I feel a bit naughty as I have been R&Ring rather successfully for about 3 weeks now but this is my first post...

Today I went to Irlam, Manchester and not a single thing mispriced so decided to do my shopping elsewhere and was successful at Warrington extra store... Also called at the Atherton store but nothing other than minced beef and already got a freezer full...

I Just wanted to mention how I justify to myself (and partner for that matter) my r&ring... I now do 95% of my shopping at Tesco, to help me 'pad out' whereas previously I shopped in the main at Asda. So they are getting some extra business from me. Also, on some occasions I take a risk with buying something I think looks like I'll be overcharged on and infact I'm not and in that case I've bought and paid for something I wouldn't have usually bought, again helping towards tesco profits! He says himself, every little helps!

Today, The fresh fruit juice kept in the chiller, used to be 3 for £1.90, it looks like it's in the process of going up to 3 for £2.25 and there was a total mix of cartons, some with nothing on, some saying 3 for £2.25 and some saying 3 for £1.90 but all the SEL's displayed 3 for £1.90. I buy this anyway but thought fab if I can get it for free and stocked up with 9 cartons (would normally have bought 6 anyway) and infact the discount has come off correctly... now this isn't really a problem, we will drink it and I've got it for the cheaper price before it eventually goes up for sure... Hope this helps someone from taking the chance

To add to Duders excellent post -

Look out for expired SELs - they are easy targets as the till price has (probably) gone up but the lower SEL can sometimes remain.

Tesco Extras are the best place to look for R + Rs - more stock and more staff make for more possible mistakes.

Over charges on price stickered products make for less arguments - the evidence is directly to hand and normally results in immediate R + R

Hold your ground - a call to Head Office will make force even the most reluctant CS to eventually R + R as HO will make them do it.

And above all, as Duder said - be polite and reasonable with the people you encounter - they are doing a hard job and will be kinder to you in return.

Actually head office will not overule the store's decision.

Calling head office will usually add weight to your argument (if you are actually right and not just trying it on) but is no guarantee of success.

Could someone please tell me what the rose sparling wine is that the misprice is on at the mo??? Love wine and free wine has no calories in it. I received R+r with a smile the otherday, first time they were excited for me, bless.

Tsk, i thought you would save us all the bother and tell us when the tills got changed to charge the higher price to save us needlessly buying Orange Juice for days until it does change ;-)

Actually, we use OJ here a lot, about 3 a week or so, and the shelf life is usually about a month so I might stock up on a months worth once the price does change, so are you going to give us all the nod <g>

Cordiniu Reserve Cava..... should be 8.99 and is half price at 4.99 (offer ended 18/07 I think?) .... however the offer was apparently only on the white, and not the rose, but some stores didnt specify it was white only and had a sign which indicated all the Cordiniu Reserve Cave was half price and therefore left the window open :)
