I posted a few days ago about a POI for tom tom showing Tesco stores, I have had a few requests for it so I have zipped it upand put it on a web server.
Download it here
Extract the contents of the zip file to the great britain map folder, there will now be a POI called tesco so just navigate to the nearest or one on your route.
It isnt 100% accurate or uptodate, new stores arnt on there but I have added a few and updated some of my local stores. I hope to get the Tesco directory at somepoint and really update it when I do I will change the file and let everyone know.0 -

You have to get in early at some stores as it's probably one of those stores that have regular R&R'ers who snap the mistakes up quickly, which then alerts the store to put it right. Having said that, I've had 2 lots of Ecover on different from the same store on a few ocassions. Try another Tesco?I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
I've just discovered and read some parts of this thread and I simply can't believe it!
I thought getting a £2 voucher in Asda for even a trivial overcharge was great but this takes the biscuit. I usually check my prices when shopping so I'm half way there methinks! Roll on my next visit.

I'm new to this thread but can you confirm that you got the DVD for free as they charged you 1p over the shelf price ?0 -
ben500 wrote:Actually the store does have a legal responsibility to provide accurate and unambiguous price indications, in displaying the price per kilo only on the pack they leave themselves open to prosecution as when more than one price is displayed they MUST sell at the lowest price to avoid falling foul of legislation. I've no doubt a big debate would ensue should someone push this at a cs desk but the law is on their side if they do. Reporting such practice to local Trading Standards would see an end to it, this practice is carried out locally to avoid r&r and in very many cases contrary to press and media advertisements.
which legislation Ben500 are you refering to as I want to copy it and post it to a certain meat manager at my local store!
I have had a look at the consumer act and see lots of mention about mis-leading pricing but nothing about two differnt prices for the same product?! What can't I see?0 -

The policy states 'In the unlkely event that we charge you too much for your item' or words to that effect. No minimum overcharge amount stipulated. Some of the video games are only overcharged by 5p (i.e. stickered at £19.94, scan at £19.99), not stopped people getting them for free...I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

Fair play to you - Tesco's constantly rip off poor farmers all over the world.0 -
Yes, but it's a shame the poor farmers don't benefit instead of us!
