Nope she was definitely wrong. From reading your post I understand that the breasts you bought were priced based on a weight per kg of £8.12, but the SEL said this product was £6.49 per kg.

I posted a few days ago about getting R&R on these same items from a very stroppy CS. She knew she couldn't wriggle out of it and she knows I know the policy.

If you have problems, always refer the CS person to the blue sign behind her, it says something like 'if you are charged more than is shown on the product OR the shelf...' - which you were. There is nothing to say that you have to pay the price on your pack, if the SEL is lower it applies to all such product on that shelf.

Assuming your CS lady did not remove the SEL, I would go at a different time of day and buy some more, taking your old receipt with you too. Then when you get overcharged a second time go to CS again and try with a different CS (don't mention the previous scenario yet).

If you get a good CS who will do the R&R this time, then say, well I'm glad you agree, as last time I bought these (earlier this week) I was told I was wrong (produce older receipt). As you clearly know what you are doing could you possibly refund me for both purchases and make sure the SEL is amended?

I did this once on Coca-Cola which was meant to be 2 for £2.20.........and the second CS person was nice as pie and R&R'd both, and removed the SEL.
This offer finishes at midnight tonight. so tomorrow I am going to see if the SEL is updated, if not, ????????;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Do you think plastic surgeons charge by the kg ? :D And could we claim a R&R if the sticker/SEL didn't agree with the final bill ?:p

Visited my local friendly tesco's last night...was overcharged on 2 packets of ham. Duly went to the CS desk and was told to come back this morning as she was cashing up the till ready to go home as it was 9.55pm!!

So went back this morning, bought another four packets of mis-priced ham, and took all 6 to the CS desk. Took me 10minutes to explain how i'd been overcharged ie) SEL price lower than the price per k/g on the packet, was asked why i felt the need to be buying so much ham ( cheeky cow!), and was then told very firmly to wait at the desk whilst she went to check the SELs.
Been caught out like that before where they remove the SELs and then tell me i'm mistaken so i followed her. Made her jump out of her skin mind when she got to the deli counter and started picking up the SELs ''Oh thats good. You've found them have you?'' i said. She didn't know what to say!
Followed her back to the CS desk, and she never said one single word to me, just handed me my refund, and when i asked for the ham back, i had to reach across the desk for it as she turned her back on me and started talking to another CS girl....no wonder i feel bl**dy paranoid!!!
I had already pointed out that if they weren't constantly overcharging me, i wouldn't have to keep going to her desk and ''bothering'' her.

I have been monitoring the timing of misprice posts and how quickly T do an update. A good example is the prepack baby corn and peas labelled £1.22 with a sel of £1.21. The post was timed at 11.33am (post 128) when the scan price was £1.22 but by 8pm that same evening the scanned price had been corrected to £1.21 as per the sel.
May I suggest posting later in the day to give T less of a window to do a national update. I suspect T do a batch update as opposed to a online update of prices. What do people think? Any ideas on setting a cutoff time such as 5pm?

I cant even begin to explain how wrong this is!!!!!

Prices are not changed to match SEL's, SEL's are changed to match prices.

No in this case an overcharge was corrected by Tesco, no SELs seem to have changed at all.

Of course it could legitimately be by them noticing lots of R+Rs reported on that particular item, as much as it could be as a result of some of the Tesco staff on here correcting it.

But I know how galling it is when misprices are posted only to be corrected shortly after. That's one of the reasons I don't post new misprices on here very often.

Hope this is ok to post this here. Is there any way round this stupid policy of not being able to return CD's??? I innocently bought a CD and when I got it home I realised it was the wrong one. The CS staff flatly refuse to refund me, what can I do I'm not a illeagal copier and now have a CD worth £12.97 which I don't want.
Anyone had similar experiences? How can I get this refunded?

Unfortunately, due to the massive amounts of piracy and people buying CD's, copying them and then returning them (in no way am i implicating you in this process) most retailers no longer give refunds on CD's, DVD's or Software. As far as I am aware there is no way around this process.

Armed with poche en plastique I did quick Mr T before seeing Amalie Mauresmo win Wimbledon, however nervily.
Asked about and praised scheme prior to checkout, then asked where it showed on receipt, having been told it was there. It wasn't. Comment was 'they haven't been publicising it as well as they should', so>CS and blank looks. No answer from HO so far.
Re-cycling is an issue about which I feel strongly, so shall pursue and report back.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Extra Club Card points - Bring your own bags to the store

Tesco has just introduced a new scheme where if you bring your own shopping bags, you receive an extra Club Card point per bag. We always bring our own bags, and since the scheme was introduced we did our shop last week, using 4 of our own bags, and got 4 extra points! Every bit helps . . .

Ask in store if you are not offered the points for using your own bags - they should honour this.
