Apparently the Minute Steak special offer of £5.99 (?) reduced from £7.99 kg finishes 1 July(according to the SEL). My local has clearly sold out of all of the special packs and has re-stocked with new ones that are £8.49/kg. Probably others have done the same so today/tomorrow might be a good day for some bargains.

h/l stir fry lean steak, sel £5.97 a kilo, pack price £7.99 per kilo.

brought 3 packs, totalling £8.01. cs loathe to r/r saying sel may have one price, but pack CLEARLY shows higher price. stood my ground, very nicely, and she went to ask meat man. came back and said meat man says i can let you have it for £5.97 kilo. i pointed out the r/r policy by the cs desk, she said, blow it, its late, and did the r&r.

reading first post on thread though, we are def right to stand our ground under the consumer protection act.

Got some today - big yellow SELs with £7.99kg crossed down to £5.99kg end of offer date was 2 July.

Every single pack was labeled £8.49kg.

Jolly old time at Worcester Warndon with the Posioned Dwarf on CS giving me a full refund without a whimper.

Loads of kit ends on 2 July - The Dude suggests that next Monday could be full of R&R opportunities,

  • If you see a SEL at £1.99kg and your meat is priced up at £2.50kg and has the value of the product stamped on it. and You buy it, how do you approach the customer services about it. I have been a bit scared as to what to say.

    Thanks

Hi, read through the earlier posts because I posted the same question a few days ago. Hope that helps.
  • Just a thought guys and gals, perhaps its unwise of us to state the store in question we 'grabbit' from, too many eyes and ears from Mr T's staff who could rush in and out of said store and remove mis-price. Perhaps its easier to PM each other? What are your'e thoughts? I know I for one have been guility of this in the past..

I found the minute steak at prices at £8.49 on pack where the sel said £5.99 after a long wait at CS the lady brought me back 4 correct packets and said these are the correct packets you can take these the manage has recalled all the other wrongly priced ones from the shelf. so i could either take the correct ones and get a refund for the difference or get a full refund NO R&R is this right or do you think i will able to complain to head office?

I really do not think you need to ;)

Getting an r & r in a store should trigger getting it sorted anyway. I appreciate that that does not always seem to happen...trust me, if a store can not rectify an issue having given an item away, they aint gonna be on the ball enough to pay attention to anything posted here :o

Having said that...I know the managers of some of the stores that get a mention from time to time...not tipped them off yet :D
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
