Human nature, really. If I'm completely honest, only been doing this for a couple of weeks and in it totally for the free products and the 'buzz'. If people are getting overcharged on their shopping and not noticing, that's surely their look out? Totally agree that Tesco shouldn't do this, but I'm not idealistic enough to concern myself with getting Tesco to sort themselves out. Until they do, I fully intend to eat like a King for free...LOL.

i'm in it for the freebies, but then if I don't get them, I certainly don't moan and b@tch about it, or threaten to ring head office either.

i've even been 'banned' from R+R ing at one store, I said 'fair enough' and walked away, no moaning, no nothing, i've totally gone against the spirit of the offer and my personal belief is that they can ban who they want that acts in the way I did

there's other stores and other challenges there, get a life people!, if you get a freebie / or freebies, great, if you don't............

They seem to be trying to reduce the number of r + r.

Ben, you too are correct. As I have just said, most people are simply out for free stuff and then get uppity when (if) they dont get it rather than getting the real issue sorted out.

I think I have been consistent with my attitude towards mispricing throughout this thread, I personally would be happy if everytime I went shopping I was charged the correct price, unfortunately this is not a realistic ambition genuine mistakes accepted because the practice of supermarkets is to "let it roll" when something of this nature is discovered as I am sure you are aware through your own position, it is more profitable, store/regional targets are achieved easier, manpower can be deployed elsewhere as lets face it it doesn't cost the company money if they overcharge you but it does if a container that needs unloading is sitting in a hot loading bay etc, it's the complacency that accomodates the current wholly unacceptable status quo both on the part of the consumer and the retailer.

Go back to the store with the receipt and phone and let them see you were not charged the advertised price on the promotion. Hopefully you might get your refund and keep the phone, if you get a good natured CS who doesnt want to argue.

What make and model of phone please
  • I got the two packs of minute steaks in my local store today - most of the packs were priced at £5.99 kg but there were a few priced at £8.49 so carefully picked those out and got R&R no probs.

Annoyingly however, that store doesn't take any vouchers for any products that you've not bought - aaargh i had a few to use.

Why is this annoying? Should one be redeeming coupons for products that one is not buying?

If i am understanding correctly, you wanted to pay or part pay with vouchers for products that you did not have and then get cash back for the overcharges??

Turn it round, should the CSD offer you vouchers back instead of cash - regardless of wether you buy the products on the vouchers???
