Just wanted to vent my anger really.....i was followed round the whole of tesco this morning by a member of staff. he was actually at my elbow when i was looking at the meats, and when i said 'excuse me' he said he had a job to do and had to check all the meats, even if it meant pushing me out of the way. I've only ever had 4 lots of R&R but i'd been in yesterday and got 3sirloin steaks, and i could see the CS girl talking behind her hand to the other girl on the desk....all because i had to be given £8 back and obviously i got the steaks for nothing....it wasn't even as if i'd cleared the shelves, cos there were loads of them....bloody wish i had done now!! gonna feel SO conspicuous when i go in again!!0

Mandy_moo_1, I have read posts on here before where R&R'ers think they should be paid by Tesco to point out wrong prices, 'cos they too have been hounded round a store by less than discrete staff. What gets me is if Tescos have the staff available to 'keep an eye out' for you coming thru the door, alert security ( or whoever) who then follows you around. (Some people have reported feeling even the CCTV has been deliberately following them around !)
1) Why can't they use the same staff with all this spare time on their hands, to make sure their prices are correct in the first place ?
2) How much shop-lifting ( there's an old fashioned word!) must go on if staff and CCTV are focused on HONEST shoppers ? Because that is what we are. We are honest shoppers who actually check what price they should be paying, and what price Mr T's are actually charging. Presumably Mr T only wants the usual gullable shopper who doesn't read the SELs, Stickers etc and check their receipts. I remember a few yrs ago signs by till warning shoppers to 'Check your change' before leaving the store because ' Mistakes cannot be rectified later'. If you don't check your receipt etc, how can you abide by this little rule they have made. Yet if you do check your receipt, and spot an overcharge by the store, you are accused of being a 'Professional' and trying to defraud little old Mr T's !!
Luckily I haven't been followed round yet - that I know of. Haven't got loads of diff Mr T's to pick from, so I hope I don't get my face TOO well know. Only got about 7 R&R's so far, and non on food items. The thought of arguing with cs about price per kg etc I think would definitely get my card marked for me.
Have taken the line, as one MSE suggested, that when I do go to CS, I quite clearly take the line that 'I think YOU HAVE OVERCHARGED ME..." even if I dam* well know they have. Also try to get items which have a price label on them, then their little trick of removing the SEL, or arguing my item is different to the one advertised doesn't hold water. Unfortunately there are not too many of these, hence my low count in R&R's.
But each one gave me great pleasure !!!!:D
Must admit that twice now I have been in Tescos and have seen staff with digital cameras - please reassure me that MY photo has not been posted on the Tesco cs website !! - Constantine I think works for Mr T's. Is my fear groundless ? I would hate to think of my face on cs screens up and down the country - I need a haircut, and never think about makeup or clothes when shopping, so I really will look like a BAG lady !:eek:0 -

As I've been overcharged a fair few times in the last two weeks I have decided that I will donate £25 to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Mr. T. has been generous to me, so I am just speading some of this generosity.Jim.0
