i am a member of both!

Me too. And I'll say here what I said over on the Lush Forum:

The little girl in the queue beside me today had been shoved by an adult who wanted to get to a hatbox. I think that's just appalling, regardless of what forum they hang out on or what they're going to do with the products they buy.
  • Hey guys!
I am fairly new to Lush, was going to do some shopping there as my hubby is being generous this year.. anyway was not aware of this big promotion and was pleasantly surprised!
Do you think there will something left there by Monday?
and another thing, don't want to be awkward when I come there ...how does it actually work? do you get in the queue with your hands full of £20 worth of products and pick your gift or free product after paying that £20 or do you have to already hold what you have chosen in your hands before going to the cashier? Sorry for the lamest question ever!!!!!!!!
did anyone managed to get the legends box?

I decided to go to the sale at last minute as still got a bit of stuff from last year. I got there 10 minutes after opening and it was heaving, I picked up a Fairy tale box, grabbed my £20 worth and got in the queue. As I queued nearer the till I saw a Think Pink box sat on it ownsome so grabbed it instead, wasn't expecting them to let me have but they did:j it wasn't til afterwards I saw that the dates on it were very recent. Counting myself very very lucky, didn't even have to queue. I drove past Lush at 7.45 coming back from the Next Sale and there was already someone waiting.

I am a Lush regular though I can't justify buying a great deal, so the sale allows me the chance to get some freebies and try out some things I wouldn't normally buy. But I really haven't got time to post regularly on the Lush forum, especially as many of the topics are not Lush-related. Just because someone is not a Lush forum regular does not mean thay are not a Lush regular!

Sorry I didn't explain that very well. When I said Lushies I meant people who use LUSH products regularly, rather than the forum. :o

The good thing about the offer is people might try LUSH for the first time, and then go back and buy it again. The will be the odd person who takes advantage and grabs expensive gifts just to Ebay them, but unfortuately there is no way to stop that.

I'm not saying this is right, but .....I think that some Lushies feel it fairer for people who visit the store all year to get a good bargain, than those who just come in once a year for the big sale. Having said that, I can understand that LUSH is expensive, and a lot of people can't afford to go in every month.

*eta* Mrs Moc & rcfromni - How on earth did he carry 6 hatboxes!!!?

He had 3 in each hand using the string handles to carry them. He was 2 infront of me in the queue at the till, even the SA's looked at him like "you greedy Bas***d"
  • Wow this is a long thread, i was trying to find out tomorrows opening times, and if lush in newcastle was open on saturday or if the first day is tomorrow?

In my local shop I had to pick my gift and have it with me when I went and paid for my products but I have no idea whether this applies to all the Lush shops. I actually picked my gift first, then chose what products I was going to buy, as I did not want to replicate any of the items contained in the gift.

I went to day to the Lush in Manchester - the one by Next opened at 9.30 and there was nothing left when I got there at 9.35, so I walked around to the Market Street branch and ended up first in the queue when they opened at 11am :j:j. I managed to get a legends box (gold one) and my 20 quids worth so am happy but there were people behind me in the queue who already had boxes from the other store opening and still queued for more!!!! The store by Next let you have as many boxes as you could carry but the Market Street one stipulated only one per customer :j

Still I'm a happy Bunnykins and thanks to the person with the original post as I would never have known about the sale otherwise  XX
:naughty: Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

It was open today. I went to the metro Centre, was about 10th in the queue and couldn't manage to get a hat box!
