I got to the Belfast shop at 5 mins to 12 and there was about 20 in the queue. There were quite a few people infront of us who grabbed the large hatboxes. One guy had 6 of the big white and pink hat boxes.

I got a wonderland and my mum got a fairytale box and we were delighted. The only reason we got these was because the person who originally took them dumped them in a cormer after stealing the 10% voucher out of them

After watching them, I went over and grabbed them quickly. Unless you were in the queue at Belfast you would not have had a hatbox, there was plenty there but people were really greedy, quite a few seemed to lift at least 3 hatboxes!
  • that is disgusting!!
  • Thats really bad. I think they should limit each type of hat box to say 2 per person. It would mean that people who got there earlier than others would still be rewarded by being able to get the bigger boxes, but not be greedy by getting 6. How on earth did they manage to carry them??

I struggled with my hoard & freebie boxes. There were Def not 6 big hatboxes in my bag. My bag unfortunately had a massive rip in it by the time I got to a different shop though. Cant bear to check whats missing. I know the creams & face masks (higher price items) are still in the bag. Think I may have lost a couple of bath bombs though.

Well Im off to use my scary green mask & other lush stuff!!

I am kind of a Lush newbie (bought a few of their products years ago when they first started but have not really been a regular customer since then) so a lot of the product names referred to in this thread mean absolutely nothing to me. To me this Lush sale is not really a sale, as no individual products are priced lower than usual.

I went to my local shop (Brighton) this afternoon, there was a big box at the front of the store containing various gift packs and I was promptly told of the "special offer" by an SA - if we spent £20 we could pick one of those gift packs, or a grab bag (containing around 6 or 8 bath/shower bars) or any one item in the shop made prior to October. The packs all varied in size and value and this greatly confused me as I assumed that most people would automatically go for the most expensive ones? Also, I had no way of knowing what products in the shop had been made before October  Anyway I bought enough to qualify for a gift pack and chose one called Jolly Holly Days, priced at £24.95. When I was at the cashdesk the cashier told me that if I'd been there before the store opened I might have had a chance to get a box worth £65 as they did "give away" a few of those

As the Lush "sale" is new to me, I can't say whether I've done well or not  Basically I got £45 of product in total but only paid £20. It's a bit more than 50% off and seems good enough to me but am guessing from the rest of this thread that this is not anything to get excited about? I think that I'll need to do some serious Lush homework before next Boxing Day, as I felt a bit clueless today.

Between this and all the Soap & Glory + Aussie stuff I bought this past fortnight, I have got enough toiletries to last me the next decade  and my entire flat now smells like a Lush shop :T.

seriously, i am totally confused as to why Lush forumites are labelling supposed ''MSE'rs'' as the ones who pushed, shoved and fought their ways to the front of the Lush queue just to get 5 Hatboxes they are going to flog on Ebay??there's no doubt there ARE people like that but I've been to a few Lush sales and I have NEVER met anyone who's there at the crack of dawn unless they have a love for Lush!!

i think if you've made the effort to be in town for 6.30 am in the freezing cold on a Boxing Day then you deserve to get a few goodies!!?

there's plenty of Lush regulars who have come away with quite a few of the large hatboxes and they are applauded!!?
    Don't get it AT ALL!!
You simply can't complain if you didn't put the hard work in!

ITA with putting a limit on some of these offers, 6 is rather greedy IMPO. Bet it wont be long before they start appearing on ebay!

£24.95 of freebies is really good!especially if you like the products...i've said before theres no point having a £100 Lush Legends box just for the value if you think the products are a bit boring(like me)

Couldn't agree with you any more, it's ridculous that they're showing off with their multiple £50+ hatboxes and condemning the people on here for doing the same

Exactly! I got a Lush Legends last year in the sale and could've easily got one this year but decided against it when there's sets I would get better use out of.
  • I was in Belfast and people were very greedy. I was near the front about 5th and the people in front of me had a plan of action. There were about 10 christmas eve boxes and 6 wonderland ones. I thought as I was 5th I would at least get one of those boxes- was wrong. Mrs Moc is right a guy had 6 wonderlands, and the other ladies all got the christmas eve boxes. They were like really greedy. I did manage to get a fairytale and a lucky dip bag, so I am very happy, I just can't believe how greedy people are, I agree there should be a limit or something as it is not fair on everyone else. I was there 5 mins after the people in front of me, so it was not that I turned up late. Just made me feel there was no Christmas spirit today. I am very very happy with my stuff anyhow :) I only wanted a hat box and I got fairytale so happy. Poor people behind me hardly had anything due to people's pure greed.
