    how did I do????

I was first there and waiting then a couple of other ladies joined me and then the queue grew and grew - I was on the blocks and ready when the doors opened - having chatted to the other ladies they had advised me on the pink and white hat box and the white on with multi coloured spots on - they said dont go to the back of the shops - its the boxes at the front and make sure you grab your boxes before getting your other items - great I thought - in I went - quite chuffed grabbed two - one of each - then proceded to get my dream wash and cream x 2 for the children queued to pay = GUTTED!!!!!!! they were manufactured a week too late = by then all the other boxes had gone - OMG!!! thought I was gonna cry - all the getting excited and psyched up for it

I asked the manager nicely but she couldnt do anything about it - anyway what she did do for me was make me a bag of bathbombs and bubble balls? she said I had actually done better this way - checking my bags I have 10 in one and 14 in another - so cmon I dont know whats in the hat boxes - how did I do...was gutted at the time!!!

Aww no that's awful! They should have just left the gift sets that you could have in the offer (did this in my store). The gift set with the spots on is full of bath bombs and bubble bars anyway so you did well there and only 10 at that, not 24! The other set you originally had has 11 items in, 6 of which are bath things so you definitely did better off if that's what you were after :)

That's true, and the same can be said of UKHD. Some people here are grabby-grabby- it's always a few people who tar the name of the rest.

Most of the people I saw today wanted the Lush for themselves, I even recognised someone from last year!

if you were at the croydon lushfor the 10.30 which then opened at 10.00 i think you ment me i was there with my hubby...:T
Don't sweat the small stuff, Its all small stuff.

They last ages, a good few months at least as long as you keep them away from the sun and dry :p

...I wonder if you were the one that I spoke to in the que:confused:

If you were the lovely lady who also wanted the big bath bomb hatbox too then yes! Or of course the dad sitting on the cold hard floor with me for most of the morning?

I spent £64 on various birthday presents for the coming months and got Winter Wonderland, Fairy Tales and 12 Days of Christmas and was very pleased. I did get one of the two gold hat boxes but they were made after October os had to put it back. Still, it didn't spoil it for me and I will probably be back there next year. I may check the date on them on Christmas Eve though!

Lush belfast was a bit rubbish, they only had the cheaper christmas present boxes (<£15) when I was there so I chose a grab bag, and yeah, there is about twenty quids worth of stuff but its all bath bombs, I would have preferred something a bit different. Oh well, not bad for a free gift :)
  • went to lush westfield - such a disappointment. The shop looked like it was closing down it was so empty! Picked up one of the pre make bags and got home to discover that it was just one huge lump of soap. Utterly disappointed.
    Merry Christmas MSE!

The assistant manager at the Sheffield Fargate store has delivered the most fantastic customer service for me today.
I called as I had a gift voucher from that store but couldn't use it online so the assistant manager put aside all the goods I wanted and even offered to send someone out to the car with all the goods because I've got a slipped disc so walking and carrying is not particularly comfortable. How sweet is that?
So, I got Fairy Tale, Christmas Party and several others, maybe 6 or 7 gift boxes are currently perched on my bed scenting my bedroom deliciously! I promised to take some of the duplicates for my Nannan who bought me the voucher but has never used the products!

Obsessing about remortgaging and interest rates all day, every day:)

Was you at the Lincoln branch? If so, I felt awful for you I saw what happened. I thought it was really badly designed this year....putting the boxes not in the sale at the front and the rules weren't made very clear. Last year we were told that if it had a green sticker on then it was in the deal, this year everyones hunting dates for the October and then was told it was September was the cut off it was mad. The Winter Wonderland boxes were the most expensive ones I saw there, apparently they didn't have as much stock left over this year. I think you did quite well with the bags of bath bombs...if you add up the separate value of some of the box items anyway, they add on money for the packaging. I thought the manager was really nice though, one of the assistants worked out my mums gift entitlement amount wrong...and went back in with the receipts and we got another 2 gift boxes that she was entitled to, as well of a free face mask each. I spent 60 pound and got 120 pounds worth of gift sets.
