:hello: to everyone who said hi!

Bruno, Liam's reflux was being controlled by using a thickening formula (SMA Staydown) but has gradually built up again to where he wouldn't lie on his back, crying in his sleep, only settling on his side, grumpy etc... We only had the excessive and projectile vomiting previously. This all seemed to happen around christmas and around colds and signs of teething, it took me a few weeks to make the connection. He has improved loads since we moved onto gaviscon. The sleep issues were reflux related, we are back to more or less 7/8pm to 8/9am :D

    Fitzio - no worries hun!

We were getting the crying in sleep, screaming for 2-3hrs each evening & possetting all day. the gavscon did wonders as did feeding him upright & usinf a fast flow teat. Glad its a bit better xx

hey MM - why u sleepy?

my boy just wants a dummy today! not had one in about 3 weeks! very strange

I hope it goes well too becles. Am I right that you have it too? xxx

    Yes I've got it too.

Back from the hospital and nothing underlying is causing it, so we've been discharged. The paedatrician talked about meds, but said he'd rather not give them as it's not seriously bad. I've tried meds and didn't get on with them. They open up your blood vessels to keep your hands and feet warmer, but the bigger blood vessels can cause tension headaches. So I had nice warm hands and feet but a stonking headache

He said to just keep on with the self help stuff - keeping warm, wrapping up before he goes out and so on. If the symptoms get worse or he develops joint or skin problems then I have to take him back to the GP.
    What's raynauds?

It's like a circulation problem and your hands and feet get really cold easily, then they go purple and white and really painful and stiff.

It's more of a nusiance than anything. I can't touch cold things as that sets it off, so I have to keep gloves in the car in case the steering wheel, petrol pump, trolley handle etc., are too cold to hold. I was serving ice cream at Josh's birthday and had to put gloves on to hold the tub - cue loads of stick from his mates about being soft! I really feel the cold, so I have to wear layers of clothes to keep warm and I have to wear fleece jarmies and fluffy socks in bed - oh so sexy :D

Got to rush so *hugs* to all. Need to get the dogs and Charlotte walked and get her into bed so I can go out and get all my usual Thursday work done.
Here I go again on my own....
  • NMS, if you are still having probs with lying on his back, try tilting the cot up by putting a phone book under the legs of the cot at the head end :)

I only got to sleep at about 3am and Dylan woke me up at 7.20 !! I wanna go back to bed :(

Because he still doesnt have any balance and throws his shoulders back from time to time, it is there to give him full support of his back to help him learn posture.
He will be able to play with toys now, without me having to try to hold him up and play with him at the same time.

ETA - I was up to nothing !!!! Chris was snoring :p

Hi I just know im not in the right place. I need to get a car seat for my mums car my son is 2 . Was thinking of getting a group 1-3 for him for our car and giving my mum his group one , any suggestions ?

hello - I don't think you are in the wrong place. I have a smaller LO than you (11 months) but we've recently put her into her 'big' car seat. We went for the maxicosi Tobi and got money off and points by buying through boots. I'm not sure what group seat it is off the top of my head but I know it's to do her until she's approx 4years old.

There is a car seat in the Asda baby event but I think it's for older children - but it might be worth a look. Hope this helps x
