Anybody fancy helping me (with a completely parenting related question obv ;))

I am trying to find a brief summary of the environmental advantages of having a mains plumbed water cooler as opposed to a water cooler with bottles and it is driving me mad!!!!

    SM - are you about?

Weirdo question alert. What's Jayden's hair like? Only, Leila's hair has really started to grow and she is getting little curls which are like tiny springs sticking out of her head which are tangling. Just wondered if Jayden's is more like yours or Phillips or somewhere in between.

is it not on the sales garb for the plumbed in ones?
off hand you reduce emmisions from transporting it, from making/cleaning/refilling the bottles
HS reasons are good too, hefty weight those bottles plus have you ever had a bottle grow green slime in it _pale_

if you do say so yourself :p Jamie O has a bol recipe that calls for long slow cooking in the oven, BIL made it once and it was lush so that would be good in a SC I assume

on the cup I believe it is important to intruduce the cup by 6mths not for them to actually be able to work it, if she's better with an open cup then why not try her with a doidy cup or that amadeus 360 contraption that I hate but others love :) or a straw

Sami to be honest i think all bolognaise are supposed to be slow cooked ( not necessarily in a slow cooker ). I just think given the jars available its changed the way we cook it. Even on a hob i think they are supposed to simmer for at least a few hours. I throw everything in mine. And sometimes that may change slightly given what i have in but its always lovely ( well as sami says, I think so. Not tasted any nicer )

I'll google the cups you mention as ive never heard of them and take a look. I'll leave the straw suggestion, tho i did see you talking about it the other day, but i had a bad experience with one ending up DS nose once when he was a baby!!

I just need some fancy words to convince the client that we have considered it seriously!! We just kind of went..'well no bottles has gotta be better, no deliveries, no bottle changing, cheaper, gotta be a goer' :rotfl:

Never seen a bottle with green slime!!

    MFD is this helpful?
Employers have a legal duty to provide staff with drinking water in the workplace, but bottled water has a far higher carbon footprint than mains-fed water. According to Thames Water, a litre of mains water creates about 0.0003kg of CO2, around 600 times less than the 0.185kg generated by a litre of Volvic or the 0.172kg produced by the same volume of Evian. The water cooler bottles used by the BBC are also made from a type of plastic derived from oil, which is not recyclable and takes up to 1,000 years to biodegrade.

    Foody help needed please!

I've got a pork shoulder joint that i wanted to roast tonight, but it's far too big for me and DS so what should i do with the remains? If i don't have a plan for it, it'll end up in the dog then i'll be upset cos DS won't eat a great deal of it

Would anyone like to admire my beautiful little girl? Well, I'm going to show you anyway :p

Just thought I'd lighten the mood a little. Also got a cracking photo of her on her tummy. It's something she hates but she rolled off the pillow (careless mummy) so since she didn't cry I reached for the camera.
