  • Omg my Nan just phoned and she nearly slipped over feeding the birds. She has osteoparosis so slips are v. bad. She's off to the shops later despite my advice to stay home.

Having a lovely morning snuggling with Henry.

Beenie- lanisinoh is a great suggestion from Fitz. I used it after every feed in the first two weeks and it really helped.

SB- my cousin Jamie's birthday is the 28th too. He'll be 25 though so much less exciting than being1!

Hope your Nan is ok xx

Obviously your cousin has an excellent choice in name and birthday! :D

    xx

at least you won't starve then rmac :D If we got stuck here Christmas dinner would be steak n chips or lamb stew :p

GISI is there no one you can get to helkp ur gran? I'm worried about her too now :)

Normally I would but she doesn't want me going out with baby.

She'll be ok. She has my Grandad with her it's just her bones are so delicate. No snow here, so it's just ice but it's just started raining!

Really? And there is me thinking they were a bit unusual/not-so-popular!

    I'm not offended! :p;)

    xx
I think they are unusual, the Noah has a brother with lovely name Hayden which was my 1st choice of middle name for Ed and also how I got chatting to his mummy

more sick from Ed :( good job I'm sat with a bucket at my feet.

Carla OH has gone to work today but isn't 100% Edgar is now sick so I think its a bug as he's not eaten anything
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Noah was one of my favourites for a boy too but didn't make our shortlist as OH didn't want anything with biblical connections! And I liked it before Chris Evans had his baby even though he had his first ha ha!

Glad you are feeling better this morning Carla. DH and I were ill last week so there is definitely some sort of bug doing the rounds.

Right off to try and shower and then make up bottles and sort lunch. Then this afternoon should be spent wrapping presents. I may be back if things don't go like that though!

ETA - my friend is flying to Vegas today for Christmas and New Year and her flight to London has been delayed for 3 hours so she will miss her connection! She is terrified of flying too so I didn't have the heart to tell her about the plane that went off the runway at Prestwick this morning!
  • Poor Edgar, hope he gets better soon. I hate seeing them ill - all four of us had that d&v bug a while back and Jamie was bringing back every bottle last week with his virus :(

ETA: hope you're better soon, Carla! I didn't see your post last night x

its horrible when they are ill, Christopher hasnt been taking his bottles, 2oz max at a time, and when he takes that he has diawoowoo after! Alhough Mum said he has had a full bottle this morning (8oz) and an hour later nothing had happened, so hopefully that is him all better and fixed! :)

It will be your tax credits early. I got my whopping early payment of £10 today!

Quick Q - I took my turkey out last night to defrost, well I told OH to do it, but he left it out on the breakfast bar and didn't put it in the fridge, so it's near enough fully defrosted already. I've shoved it in the fridge but is it going to go foosty before friday?

Also bought a combi whiteboard/corkboard for the kitchen, so when ya know OH eats the last of something he can write down what it was so I know to replace it. ITS EFFING HUGE, dimensions of stuff never were my strong point (hence our tiny chest of drawers :rotfl:) I only have one space on my kitchen wall where it could go, and it WILL fit, but I bet it looks !!!!!!! Stupid council and their bad layout of kitchen cupboards.

OH deffo got his payrise as his pay had the extra on it again, plus an extra £250 Xmas bonus. Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas in maaaaah house!

My turkey looks tiny, I remembered it being bigger, It's like 8-9lbs. And there is 6 adults and 1 child (that wont eat nowt) ..... Im a bit worried it won't feed everyone and I wanted leftovers DAMNIT!

Wonder if Tesco's would have some cheap turkey 2nite when I go? I'd freeze it though as would go off. Maybe I should get a bit of beef to put on the table with the turkey? Mind you I don't put the WHOLE turkey on the table anyways as not enough room.

The beef could go in the slow cooker so wouldn't require any extra work really!
