Sorry you're having so much pain Beenie, (and Maz) it's no fun is it
Nipples can become really tender in the early days.. Babies suck is incredibly hard and they're not used to that kind of action at all... Positioning is the most important thing, if baby's not positioned right then the nipple which should be against babies soft palate ends up being rubbed against babies hard palate... This is what causes sore cracked nipples... If you find you are tender then expressing a tiny amount of milk out and rubbing it into the nipple can help, as can a small amount of vaseline... Airing them as much as you can too...
Also, one other thing... If you let baby suckle as often as possible then you have less chance of becoming engorged when the milk does come inA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Maz (I am saying this in s stern voice) please go and sit down. You are doing so much you are putting the rest of us to shame!!!!!
Been out in the snow - I'm loving the snow mode on my pram, I never thought I'd use it - but it is brilliant!
weather has brightened up here. Main roads seem to have been cleared so I'm tempted to jump in the car...........r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

i got a turkey crown and a duck in the freezer for xmas dinner, do you think i should take them out now? both are jointed and allegedly feed 4-6, my arsh.
as horrible as it sounds, i am really fed up of seth being ill. i feel for him, i really do, and i know he cant help it, but he is being such a pain and its really starting to stress me out! he doesnt want to sleep, be cuddled, play with anything, go in his walker, go on the floor, sit next to me, play with me, eat, just generally moans at everything.
i suppose i'd better heat up some lunch for him to refuse and scream at me a bit more over!Mummy to

i know!! not sure if just from him or my other brother as well!! i qsaked them to get something big and brilliant for christmas rather than clothes etc when he was born so its a 'welcome kian' and 'happy christmas' combined.
i gave him a few links of things i would like kian have, to help him and then he did the final choosing. have wrapped the box up but now wondering if we should make it up now and make sure it all works or if we need batteries instead.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
aw (((hugs))) em.
have you managed to get him to tkae any tablets?'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
yep i rang the docs this morning after he refused to take his porridge with a 3rd tablet in, spoke to another doctor and he thought it was hilarious that i hadnt been given the soluble version, glad he did cos i didnt, especially when i then had to go out in what could have literally passed for an ice rink to get the new script! i ended up walking in the middle of the road as it was less icy and the pavement was thick with it, i've honestly never known ice like it! luckily by the time i was on my way back it had started to rain so the ice was cleared a bit, still slippy but enough to get a grip on. it said to take two daily so i've dissolved two in a jug of water and will use that to make his bottles and juice up today, its weak enough that i cant taste it in the water and certainly seems to be fooling him
i am hoping he will be better tomorrow, OH is working late to change the posters in the shop (on xmas bl00dy eve, i ask you) and i dont know if i can cope on my own with him being like he is today for a 12 hour stretchMummy to
