Oooh the fairies here are so generous - is it cheeky to say a big omg yes please! to both? lol :o
    Unless someone else is needy.
But they're not exactly pennies to post so i want to pay the postage by paypal gift, this is MSE and the kind fairies shouldn't be out of pocket!

Feelie - i've thought about washables but i'm not sure they'd be as convenient for me, i tend to let the piles of washing build up then do them all in one go :rotfl:

Every morning i'm waking up soaking wet, this morning my bra was thoroughly saturated in milk, and because i fell asleep feeding Amber, she was also wet :rotfl:

haha awww, Amber was quite sicky yesterday too. She doesn't even give me warning i just get half a pint of milk spilling out the side of her mouth, all over me. I didn't get muslins but i'm using spare moses sheets to mop up which are just as effective lol. It's quite upsetting to see her wasting my milk like that :rotfl:

I've put her in a proper outfit today, after 4 weeks of sleepsuits. She's got a cute little dress on with tights, she looks all grown up :( lol. It is newborn size so i thought i better get some wear out of it, not normally keen on tiny babies in proper outfits, especially when they're still a bit scrunched up and always wrapped in a blanket anyway

is it sad that we own exactly 1 'proper' outfit? I didn't acquire any really as we didn't know the sex but now I haven't had time to scour eBay for good bundles! not that Finn seems to mind ;)

My sister gave me some washable ones and I find them more comfortable and also seem to mean less leakage......I've often found I've fell asleep feeding William and found we are both wet in the morning - I've started laying on a towel which also helps soak up any leakage

Elle, I either do them or get my legs scraped off me in bed .. Chris is a kicker at night !!

OH does this - scrapes his toenails down my calves in his sleep. Sometimes on purpose to wake me up, usually because I'm snoring :o
Though not been so bad now I've had Jack

He works full time so he needs a lie in on weekend mornings. He wouldn't be happy if he had to get up and I stopped in bed.

Same here! I am lucky in that Jack wakes early but will go back to bed for a couple of hours. This morning Jack was up @ 5am, had a bottle @ 5.30am then we went back to bed til 8.30am. He ended up sleeping in our bed last night - the dream feed seemed to upset him last night for some reason so..........................................
I'm going to be brave and not do it tonight and see what happens!

Tip to anyone using freezer pots for purees - don't turn the puree out as soon as you take it out the freezer. I did this today and the pot was so frozen it shattered!

Been to ASDA and got Jack a little cup - he won't take water but will have it with a bit of juice in so thought I might try and get him used to a cup now.

    Hope everyone is OK

Happy Birthday Chopsticks! Hope you have a lovely day.

Becles - I am the same as others. We don't do it every week, but most weekends, I get up early on the Saturday and OH gets up early on the Sunday. As long as you are happy with how you do things - but don't think that you don't deserve a break sometimes!

Weezl - I feel so sorry for you. I didn't have pregnancy insomnia although I was up to the toilet every hour. I get so much more sleep now I have a baby that I did when I was pregnant! It's amazing how you can still function during the day.

Holly has been sleeping mostly through the night since she was born. I definitely haven't been sleeping through her awakenings though as I used to wake about 4am, and then lie awake for hours, expecting her to wake up before eventually waking her up to feed her, so I could relax and actually get some sleep! This was until the HV told me I was mad and should just let her sleep as she will wake if she wants fed! She generally sleeps 9-10 hours. I count myself very lucky and I know that she is an exception to the rule, and that it could all change tomorrow!

Today, DH has taken H to his mum's so I am "doing an Elle" and having a baby free day. I don't have a hangover so that's not the reason although I had a good night out! I just have stuff I should be getting on with, so only here for 5 mins. Will shower, meal plan, do weekly shop, come home and tidy the house (sort out some cupboards that need clearing I think).

Csh - The pub was dark, and I didn't have an orange glow or anything from my face so I think I was ok! Will wait for the photos though to confirm. No-one asked me for a balloon. My dad is actually a magician/clown and does balloon modelling so you confused me for a second! If you see a clown with glasses in McArthur Glenn, it's probably my dad! lol.

Sugar I will look at some turkey today, thanks for the tip :)

Can anyone help with wooden boxes with lids for toy storage? are the range and dunelm a good place to start?

Also, very warm socks with minimal ankle elastic? My ankles are getting v puffy at end of days and I've either got warm feet with hurty digging in ankle elastic, or chillblains!

    xxx

have you tried slipper or slouch socks?? Skipper ones usually have very little anke elastic and would be nice an toasty. i have some slouch ones that are nice and warm and were very useful to have in the recent freezing cold
(near the end of my pg i couldnt wear any socks as the swelling would move from my feet to over my ankles...was not nice at all) come to think of it i wore DH sports socks a lot as well!!

Toby is wearing trousers and a tshirt today - a very odd occurance as he almost always wearing rompers or babygrows.

Weezl - I think thpse soft furry socks would work, they were the only thing I can wear as my feet swelling still hasn't gone down.

(Talking of which, I had my BP taken at 3 days PP but not since - is that normal when you had pre-eclampsia?)
