Where's Emlou? Has she been on recently? Was just thinking we hadn't heard from her or have I just missed her on my brief catch ups?
Glam - have you tried to give Jack water and he won't take it? When are you meant to give your baby water? We tried it once when H's wind was bad and someone suggested that, but she didn't want it. Are you meant to give them cooled boiled water when they start on solids?
Beenie - I agree about new babies. It's easier for them and for you if they have sleepsuits on etc. I don't see the point in upsetting them by faffing about with buttons and tights, but I did feel pressured that I wasn't dressing H right because people kept talking about the outfits they had bought and I got paranoid about taking her out in a sleepsuit! I still do it now sometimes though!
Off to post my meal plan and then going for shower.0 -
Beenie- Sainsburys have a third off TT pads, but it looks like you're set for a bit! I've bought soma Sains own ones as they're only £1.13 a pack but not tried them yet. I'm also gonna get some of the washables that Feelie linked to!
I'm going out tomorrow evening, on my own! It's the local NCT branch meeting so I'm hoping to get more involved and hopefully find something to stimulate my brain a bit.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

I think it's Friday, Sunday and Monday Em works and Saturday is her OH's day off too so it's a family dayGlam - have you tried to give Jack water and he won't take it? I think it's suggested you give babies water after their meals if they need a drink and then save milk for just milk feeds, iyswim, but we give Rhys milk all the time as there's obviously more calories in milk than in water and he needs all the calories he can get!0 -
Thanks Elle. x0

Csh - The pub was dark, and I didn't have an orange glow or anything from my face so I think I was ok! Will wait for the photos though to confirm. No-one asked me for a balloon. My dad is actually a magician/clown and does balloon modelling so you confused me for a second! If you see a clown with glasses in McArthur Glenn, it's probably my dad! lol.
That is, quite possibly, the coolest thing I've ever heard:cool:
I'm going to ask every clown now if its your Dad lol

Are you weekly or monthly planning?
I have to say, even tho this is still the first month, that monthly is soooo much easier and better.
I do the plan then get all the meat and basics in for the month then top-up every week for fresh stuff. (and cheese, a months worth wouldn't fit in the fridge lol)0 -
It is newborn size so i thought i better get some wear out of it, not normally keen on tiny babies in proper outfits, especially when they're still a bit scrunched up and always wrapped in a blanket anywayis it sad that we own exactly 1 'proper' outfit?
I have a "thing" about dressing Andrew in proper outfits. Because he's so small (still "early baby" not quite "newborn") most stuff is really babyish, iyswim? I love dressing him in jeans & hoodies, he even has mini-trainers! The only time he's in a 'gro for the day is when he's going to be weighed, it's easier to remove/redress one outfit than separates!
Just want to say, I've switched to no.3 teats (fastflow) on his bottles and he's now drinking well again, increased from 100ml EBM a couple of days ago to 130/140ml today. Hopefully he'll start packing on the weight again!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

what were you on before Tigs? K is on variflow, I'm wondering if its worth switching to a bigger hole to get him to take more without so much effort on his part0 -
