Becles, when do you get a lie in?
Errrrm never
It just gets on my nerves the amount of rest he needs because of his full time office based job. My job is half office and half physical and I do about 30 hours a week, then another 20 hours a week uni. I do all the childcare, cooking, laundry, DIY and walk the dogs, and I'm knackered all the time. I sometimes wish I could work full time and give everything else up as I think full time work would be easier
He cooks dinner on a Sunday though. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Talking of babygrows, I don't think they have to be boring. This is the one Toby is wearing today:Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Do you think that maybe he thinks that he doesn't need to help with any of the highlighted above, because he moved into an established household where you'd always done everything yourself?
I think you need to sit him down and tell him you need him to help out.
Keeping the kids quiet on weekend mornings when that is the only 'family' time you all have cos you are all off sounds a bit unfair on the kids aswell as you.0 -
I have to agree Becles, if this was happening in my home, I would have something to say! It sounds like you do twice the work, fight for your lie in!0

awww :T :TAre you weekly or monthly planning?
I have to say, even tho this is still the first month, that monthly is soooo much easier and better.
I do the plan then get all the meat and basics in for the month then top-up every week for fresh stuff. (and cheese, a months worth wouldn't fit in the fridge lol)
ditto. I switched from weekly to monthly a while ago and have found it much better. that way you can bulk-buy meat but not be stuck eating the same thing all week IYSWIM (distribute it throughout the whole month instead)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Not much point having a lie in tho if he will just sit on his a r s e downstairs, and leave all the chores for her to get up to.
She needs to get him doing things round the house and taking more responsibility for the family as a whole imo
ETA: he is obviously working and financially supporting the family so he sounds like a good guy, just needs a little adjusting x0 -

I bulk bought sleepsuits from Next in the sale, enough to last him til next Dec, as they have really funky ones.
(He still only wears them for bed tho, clothes all the way for daytime:cool:)0
