No they didn't, well not around the table, because Archie is skittish around new people and the fat cat doesn't like COOKED food lol. I gave them smoked salmon for breakfast, prawns for their dinner and some turkey and beef later (spoiled? Never!)

Arche ate a cream egg twisted thing out the heroes box though lol.

The Xmas tree annoys me because the cats have to be locked out at night otherwise they chew the wires, and it's a military operation!

I have ellie staying over tonight, she got a DS for Xmas, and Keira is demanding she wants a blue one (even though she plays my pink one) it's because I've been using it more lately and she is not pleeaaaaased.

Bruno - Also Argos have some good discounts on tv's...42inch Full HD lcd tv, £399...£200 quid off

Oo good tip thanks Mel :) I had checked a few online stores but hadn't got round to Argos as yet.

People who do a roast on Boxing Day amaze me (and I love roasts), Boxing Day is always recovery day, takes til tonight at least to tidy the carnage and etc!
  • I think we need pics of your ring then!

Had a lovely day at Grandparents house today, but I find it much harder looking after him away from home. Do you just get used to it? Feeding, changing, getting him off to sleep is just so much more effort, especially when eveyone wants to play with him all the time. It's making me dread taking him to the in-laws for 4 nights next week. Am I mad going away overnight with a six week old baby? Should we go for a shorter time? Opinions gratefully received :D.

Nothing exciting. A bit like the one below in colour, but less squiggles on the design. It's just a basic ring for a no frills chap. Don't ask me to take a photo on my phone as I wouldn't have a clue how to upload it.

With regards to your 4 night stay, it does appear to be quite long with a newborn, but as long as you are prepared and have a routine you will stick too, you will be okay. Not sure of babies that age are aware of their surroundings, but if they are, they may not settle. I have no experience of it as the girls never stayed away for that long when babies.

    Tidy, Bruno, what's that? :o

We've all been in PJs all day, progressively making more and more mess as we unpack Rhys' toys and eat more chocolate!

It's so nce that OH has four days off.. The nurses (the new one we've been assigned to plus the old one because she's in too, has noone else to see and fancies a trip out to see us!) are coming at 11am tomorrow morning and I have friends coming over on Monday afternoon. Other than that, we're slobbing out :D
  • guess whose sat doing there xmas/birthday list for next year :D x

Someone who should be relaxing :p It's Boxing Day! ;)

Oooh no, has to be a big boxing day dinner...we tidy as we go on christmas day!! Pressies get opened, then paper binned, the pressies all get piled onto a sofa and bits and bobs get found new homes throughout the day:) By boxing day it is mainly a pile of selection boxes and sweets left on the sofa, which get promptly tidied away into carrier bags.....All the baby toys are chucked in the pop up toy bins that are kept in the living room and the dishwasher is simply filled as I cook/dish up so no mess here really and as we aren't really drinkers we are never hung over:D

I suppose it was made a bit easier this year as the older two got mainly 3 big pressies between them...although flaming costly. In fact I am a bit embarressed at how much was spent on them!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Oh, and OH got me some size 14 PJ's which I need to swap for 18's, god bless him! At least he still thinks I'm skinny :rotfl: actually they are 14-16 and there are two pairs, so I might swap one pair and keep the other, as I do intend to lose 4st in 2010 so they should fit at one point :o

I've got a mini roast in the oven, having potato wedges with rosemary (cos i CBA to peel/boil spuds today!), leftover Yorkshires, pigs in blankets, gammon steaks and carrots! Was going to have bubble and squeak, but OH chucked the boiled-but-not-roasted spuds I put to one side yesterday in prep for it  its our family tradition to have bubble and squeak on boxing day, with the leftover cold meat, and jellys/chutneys :)

I'll be doing another roast on new years day, possibly a beef joint in my shiny new slow cooker!! I'm excited hehe

ETA - I passed on the 42inch argos sale TV's info to OH, and got sworn at muchly, cant think why? Is it cos he spent £350 on a 32 inch earlier in the year and thought it was a bargain? Quite possibly... *evil laugh*
