Breastfeeders....question please.... when do you express? I generally feed William on one breast so do I then express from the other one straight after? PS can I have any alcohol while BF, even just one on NYE?

Have to catch up on tele tonight as didnt watch enders, dr who or anyhting last night apart from Royale family and G&S when everyone went...

That's how I express. I also make sure I express when he has one of the bottles as my boobs are so full then!

I've had a small amount of alcohol over Christmas. I make sure I have it just after a feed, so there's the maximum amount of time till the next feed. I've just had the odd half glass of wine or small Baileys.

Well, yes, I hope she wears it for the rest of her life and maybe with an engagement and marriage ring one day. My ring feels weird as girls mothers and I were never married, so this is my first ever ring. Sure i'll get used to it. Main thing is everyone is happy and Lucy has already taken a photo of hers and sending everyone she knows MMS's :o Girls are excited too, already trying to marry us off

I think we need pics of your ring then!

Had a lovely day at Grandparents house today, but I find it much harder looking after him away from home. Do you just get used to it? Feeding, changing, getting him off to sleep is just so much more effort, especially when eveyone wants to play with him all the time. It's making me dread taking him to the in-laws for 4 nights next week. Am I mad going away overnight with a six week old baby? Should we go for a shorter time? Opinions gratefully received :D.

    :hello:
Glad everyone that had a good xmas had a good one, and sorry for those that were ill or had poorly families, that sucks :( we were in the poorly camp here, OH and I were both pouring noses and lots of sneezing but otherwise ok :)
I got a lovely necklace and earrings set, a slow cooker :D, some chocs and smellies, slipper socks, a jewellery box... spoiled :o
dinner went well, except my roast potatoes took TWO AND A HALF HOURS to cook, double what i was expecting, and i had to drown the meat in boiling hot gravy cos it had gone a bit cold :( thinking it might have been the goose fat? I've never cooked with that before. We had a turkey crown and a jointed duck, both were lovely and tender, want to eat them again, but we had no leftover meat cos we were piggies!! OH's parents met my nan and they got on well and invited my nan round for dinner next Sunday, but we forgot I do have to go back to work at some point so we can't go, boo!
all in all, a lovely day :) seth was a angel, despite the steroids for his bronchiolitis not really helping him at all, will be banging down the GP's door on Tuesday morning methinks...

Do we know what MFD's mystery present was yet???

Oh and in case anyone is interested, I saw on the John Lewis website that they are selling Baby Bjorn carriers for under £40, I think thats quite cheap for them? And Argos are selling cheap baby gates as well :)

My dinner wasn't too great, Turkey went cold, wasn't enough space on the table for people to help themselves etc. My roasties were crap aswell, i blame OH for putting the goose fat in the fridge.

Keira is doing my head in, just bunging toys left right and centre, her reward chart is going up and if she doesn't start clearing up after herself she's getting an UNHAPPY FACE!!! Her room needs gutted.........save it for another daaaaaay.

God I couldn't be bothered Xmas shopping or thinking about it right now! I'm going to put £40 away a month, for Xmas next year and that way there is what, over £400? That will get everyone and Keira, and the food. Sorted!

I'm glad it's all over tbh, can't wait to take the tree down either, just making my living room cluttered. Scrooge is me :D

Buttons did the cats pest around the food? I'm not gonna lie, Scruffy might have eaten a bit of MIL's tiramasu... but I dont eat that cos I dont like coffee, so it wasnt wasted

I'm going to put £15 a month on a Asda gift card next year, that way when xmas 2010 comes I can either use that for presents, or use it for the food and use the equivalent I would normally spend on the presents :) I wouldnt like to get presents for next xmas now, I like the last minute rush for presents and the last minute dashes round the supermarkets, makes me feel xmassy!!

Is it bad luck to take your tree down straight after xmas? I'd be happy to take mine down tomorrow TBH! Its taking up room and the rest of the house looks a mess cos of the space its taking up! Plus OH is going to put Seths first car seat in the loft when the new one comes, could put the tree up at the same time, I was going to flog it but then decided perhaps it should be kept, Just In Case... I am slightly warming to the idea of extending the family, as long as it isnt in the near future, Seth needs to be at school first please!

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday.

I cannot believe how many Xmas presents Caitlin got. It took us three hours to open them! She has been spoilt rotten.

Mookie - I was looking at your Xmas photos on FB a little while ago. Caitlin and Leila got so many identical presents!

    Off to catch up now...
