Oooh that's a lot of roasts....Glad she got the perfect ring, your right tho, a few extra quid doesn't really mean much when it is (hopefully) something she will be wearing for the rest of her life;)

Yes xbox is all set up and kids are overjoyed (not without it's problems again today, but sorted now)...tbh we have spent an absolute fortune this year, wasn't intentional and is money that we should never have spent...but, well too late now:o Although the money received from grandparents covered the cost of the xbox:)

I am still annoyed about yesterday, me hold a grudge...nah:p But we have stayed in all day today and although he said to his mate as we were leaving, that we would be back today, I think he knows that would be a bad move and hasn't even mentioned it:o

Well, yes, I hope she wears it for the rest of her life and maybe with an engagement and marriage ring one day. My ring feels weird as girls mothers and I were never married, so this is my first ever ring. Sure i'll get used to it. Main thing is everyone is happy and Lucy has already taken a photo of hers and sending everyone she knows MMS's :o Girls are excited too, already trying to marry us off

Glad the xbox is running. I know what you mean about spending more than intended, but had the extra money this year from back payments of credits etc, which when Lucy officially moves in, will either end or reduce significantly. Still, she has her wage to more than cover any loss and she's willing to take the responsibility of the girls, so as long as we're all happy...

Nice to hear the grandparents have chipped in, either directly or indirectly, It all helps!

Sounds like your OH knows who the boss is ;) Made a wise decision not to push going out :o

i only get for about 12 people (including philip and the kids) and that because of the rule we only buy for kids and with my sister because she lives in london where we buy something for the kids and slap each others name on it then we dont have to worry about the post and we know what each others kids want or needs x

We (now) only buy for our kids and my mum & bf, mil & bf, fil & gf...we dont even get each other anything, well we usually buy something between us, one yr we bought a tv another year loads of new bedding, this year we bought 4 blu-rays from the Play.com bogof offer!!

I think next yr i want us to buy each other something nice as we have kind of fallen into a rut and I think it would be nice to start thinking about each other again.

  • Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday.

Didn't get chance to get on the laptop yesterday - too busy pressie opening in the morning, church, visiting big bro and grandparents and cooking.

Had a very lazy day today DD is still in her pj's!! (bad mummy) but she's had a busy few weeks and deserves a quiet day.

It has taken DD 2 days!! to open everything she received and she seems to be impressed by them all.

Only disappointment is the dressing up outfit I got her with a light up skirt doesn't work - so that's a job for Monday.

DH surprised me this year I lost the blade for my mini chopper so he bought me a brand new mini chopper plus the Wolverine DVD (I like dribbling over Hugh Jackman)

Proud to be dealing with my debts
    DD Katie born April 2007!

    dreams do come true (eventually!)

  • I'm starting Christmas shopping for next year, as of today.

I've carefully removed my deodorant and shower gels and will, when on offer, buy the exact items to put back in and give them as gifts to males outside immediate family next year. Think Lynx are 97p a shower gel at the moment and Lynx deodorant is always on offer somewhere, so will likely save a few £'s by buying individually and re-using the old boxes

Don't say i'm too easy with my money

Smells like dinner is nearly ready. Enjoy the rest of your days
