We don't do another roast on boxing day - are we strange? We mostly eat rubbish, cheese, pate, crackers - a little buffet style.
Just remembered, as I put the dinner out yesterday, I realised i'd forgotten all about the starters. So there's even more pate to eat!:beer:0 -
jayden was just about to be fed but as now just flaked out being ill on christmas is just too much for him bless .. time to put me feet up i could go for a glass of something bubbly but coke zero is as close as im gonna get x

We did manage to eat more dinner, and pudding thanks to forgetting the starters. I think I preferred trifle and chocolate bomb to some pate on toast!:beer:0

I do this too, mainly because this is how my mum did it. I do a buffet style party dinner on christmas eve, never had this when I was a kid, but my kids love this, it makes it all exciting for them:A. I do turkey for xmas day then beef for boxing day then we usually eat a mixture of turkey and beef for the rest of the week until new years eve:p I then do a buffet party new years eve...then back to normal meals from there on:D I suppose I mark the beginning and end with a party:rotfl:
SM - can I join you and 3 in getting organised next year.I will need lots of kicking though...hey baby is due June so I will also aim for May to be done:DUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Motm - I don't know what a promise ring is...I assume it is a step away from an engagement ring? Sounds lovely though, and I am really glad things are working out for you:)
internet is sorted now, well the phone line which is where the problem actually was..... A lovely engineer phoned yesterday and I nearly cried with joy/relief. Unfortunately we were just on our way to take the kids old tv to dh mates house, he said we would just nip and do it, well wel went out at 6.30 so I packed baby bag up with pyjamas and all sorts thinking we would stop an hour maybe.... Well come 10pm I was fuming we finally got going and I ended up going psycho on dh, then stormed off to bed!!!!! Maybe I over reacted a bit, but I didn't really want to take it on Christmas day... It could have waited until today, I am trying to be normal but I am still absolutely fuming about it... I feel that he basically ruined Christmas day evening. The kids kept asking when we were leaving too, all they wanted to do was get back in time to try out the xbox online:(

You can have a promise ring for more than one reason, but mainly as a promise of marriage - pre engagement, or as a promise to give oneself sexually after receiving the ring, whether straight away or over time. Lucy gave me mine as a relationship commital and I bought hers today. She saw one at a bit more than I wanted to go, so said she would be happy with a cheaper one she liked, but she really liked the ring she had her heart set on before seeing the price and it was only a few pounds more and seeing her happy is more important than a few quid. She's not a diva or money grabber (she has more than me!) so she's worth it! Plus she said tonight is the night for some 'fun'. I just have to remember what to do now;) She never asked for a ring either, I just felt I should and I know she didn't think it would pressure me, it did.
Glad to hear your internet is sorted, but sorry to hear of yesterdays issues. Hopefully you and the kids feel better today? The xbox online working well? Hopefully you can forgive your OH when you have calmed down. I sometimes think Christmas can be more of a pressure than it's worth for most, hence I like to keep Xmas Day and Boxing day to me and my own.0
