HURRY SOMEONE SEW HER UP!!!
That's a bit nuts!!0 -
OMG! I walked to the end of my road to meet DS1 from school, well, I slid to the end of the road, it is a nightmare, well saying I don't walk. But how they expect children to walk in that, along a busy main road (A76, not just a main road) is beyond me. Though, DS1 was running! How can children do that?0

Good luck MM. Let us know how it goes.
Feely- that's really interesting about the EBM. Henry will take 6-7oz of expressed milk (he only has it occassionally when I'm out or he's with Grandparents) the want a BF 3-4 hours later as normal. Maybe I should two a couple of smaller bottles rather than one bigger one and give him a rest in between to see if he is actually full up.
I meant to say, I had my 6 week check on Monday but the Dr didn't really check anything with me. He didn't check my CS scar, didn't ask if my periods had returned. He did ask me outright if I was depressed (which I'm not) but there was no subtle questioning around it which I had half expected. Is this normal? He did all the right checks on Henry, so I'm not too worried, it just wasn't what I'd expected.
On the HV debate, I really like ours. She's very down to earth and common sense. I think she would be particularly useful for people who don't have family or friends to ask fairly mundane questions of, does that make sense?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
ooh think he should have checked your scar and stomach. mine certainly did. make sure its healing not only on the outside but inside as well. i had to lay down and he pressed/felt my stomach.
did you have your PND check with HV.? the form is easy to cheat...'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
feelinggood wrote: »It is possible to overfeed a baby on bottled breastmilk. A baby needs about 1oz per hour (18-30oz per day). A bottle of more than 4oz is more than they can comfortably have, and means a baby might not be satisfied from a direct feed. Some say this isn't true, but from my research I think the best thing to do is to give smaller bottles and try not to give more than 1oz per hour.
I found LO needed winding after EBM the whole time he was bottle-fed.
Thanks feelie...Dont know about overfeeding him - HV was really pleased with him when she came roundMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
