  • 3, I don't know why we have 8m checks (but test Jamie at 7m ). Also remember that some areas (think Sami and MDW) have 2.5y checks where ours is 2y and all are expected to meet the same milestones . Quite random!

    ETA: :eek::eek: at Dr surgery!!!

    xx

There is actually a recommended time frame within which each development check should take place, so each area just adapts it to their way of orking. Here the checks are done at around 7 months and 2 years, but unless there is some seriously obvious problem there is flexibility to recheck the child a few months down the line if they aren't quite reaching everything they should be...cos we all know they are all so different ;)

No i didn't apply, it was on my mental to-do list but i haven't even applied for CB yet :rotfl: I only registered her today though :o But i did ring tax creds when she was born who said they'd made a note of it until they confirm with CB when i send them the birth cert, but have since sent me my amended award notice

I'm due my tax creds on the 19th and won't be posting the birth cert til tomorrow, i hope i get paid on time cos i've already spent some of it :o:D

So will they take some IS from me? I'm not sure how much he'll have to pay me, he already has 2 kids and earns £185 after tax apparently.
(Shame for him earning minimum wage after all those years of management mwahaha)

Bizarre - they wouldn't have your details if you'd not applied. Unless, is there any possibility the Ex has applied to pay? It can happen!

Actually, is he already paying for the other two via the CSA? If he is, he may have informed them of the Amber to keep them up to date iykwim?

If he's taking home £185 and already paying for 2 others through the CSA, you'd get £14.33 per week :j:rolleyes:. This wouldn't effect your IS (or anything else!).

Sami Chris and V are obviously geniuses (or is it genii?) with their early understanding of straws. :D

Thanks, Snappy! It just seems more work for them to recheck as if they left it a few more months then they wouldn't have to (in theory! ;)).

    Evening all.

You have been very chatty today - it's taken me all night to catch up. That will teach me for leaving the house! Holly and I went shopping today (well, unshopping as it was to take stuff back from Christmas). Had a nice day out though - feels like I haven't been out for ages. Stopped for a latte and sandwich in a coffee shop and flicked through a magazine as Holly actually fell asleep which she hardly ever does in her pushchair! Bought myself a new pillow so hope it helps as my back/shoulder/everywhere is killing me in the morning.

Too much to quote on so main points:

Elle - good luck for tomorrow.
Feelie - good luck with the nanny.
AF - good luck with the HV.
MM - good luck with work meeting.
SS - good luck with mental neighbour!

JM - I like your new avvy.
GISI - wow, I can't believe Henry is so big already! Well done him!
Millie's Mum & Choppy - yay for teeth!
Angela - Rose is gorgeous and bookshelf looks amazing, as everyone has already said!
Fatty - Holly's poos got stinky after about 8 weeks but she is bottle fed. Although her poos resemble those of BF babies I think.
Csh - Are you going back to work full time in May then or taking a demotion? I can't remember if you have said before.
SM - I think you should get out and meet some new friends as your current ones seem unreliable. I know you have said before that you haven't had good experiences at groups and stuff, but if you go with a positive approach, you might meet someone nice, like the people on here. They can't all be bad. Hope your luck changes soon.
Sami - Happy birthday to Chris!

That's about all I can remember. Hello to everyone else. Hope all poorly babies are better soon.
