Question for those people with girls? Where does one buy tights from? We've always used baby legs and/or trousers under Alice's dresses because it was easier for the toilet but now she can manage clothes easily herself and doesn't need the toilet so frequently, I've put her in tights. (Which she was so excited about that she had some with her in bed last night!) I already had some which fitted her which we'd got on Freecycle ages ago in a huge bag of clothes but I want to know where I should look so I can look out for them in sales ready for next winter.
Hi everyone, hope all are well. im just popping on to say hi before u all forget me, lol!! Sorry not been on much, was planning on catching up this aftie but dh put his van in a ditch, he is fine thank god and van isnt too bad either. got toby led on my lap so typing 1 handed :)
quick qustion, toby is now 8 wks and im sure his nappies r starting to smell worse than they used to. kind of less sweet?? is this normal?
I remember Alice's poos becoming stronger smelling at four months.

My baby can drink with a straw. :T Does this make her a genius? I seem to remember J & L really struggling getting the idea of straws when they were much bigger than V is.

If she is a genius then so is Chris :D I know he could use a straw at his Christening which was the August after he was born so he'd be 7mths

The best was a girl, with a little boy in the buggy, a little older than V, maybe 15-18 months old. He was playing with a can of impulse. He was playing with it for ages so I assumed it was his 'cuddly'. After a while, he got the lid of, put the top in his mouth, and you clearly heard it spray. Lovely mum snatched it, put the lid back on, passed it back to him saying 'if you don't keep the f'ing lid on, i'll take the f'ing thing off you!'.

Maybe I should look into changing Doctors.

    Good evening everyone btw. :D
   and  again!

talking about hand held hoovers, I was looking at them in the 'seasonal' aisle in tesco they have a black n decker wet/dry one says save £5 on the SEL price is £19.97 I also looked at the dyson dc31 hand held, its £137.29 though

The CM you get is only important if you're getting IS. It has no effect on tax credits or housing benefit any more. If you have any questions, PM me. (With the CSA trying to ring you today, i take it you've applied?)

No i didn't apply, it was on my mental to-do list but i haven't even applied for CB yet :rotfl: I only registered her today though :o But i did ring tax creds when she was born who said they'd made a note of it until they confirm with CB when i send them the birth cert, but have since sent me my amended award notice

I'm due my tax creds on the 19th and won't be posting the birth cert til tomorrow, i hope i get paid on time cos i've already spent some of it :o:D

So will they take some IS from me? I'm not sure how much he'll have to pay me, he already has 2 kids and earns £185 after tax apparently.
(Shame for him earning minimum wage after all those years of management mwahaha)

Susan - Matalan can be good for tights - need to get some for Katie her legs have suddenly lengthened and they don't pull up high enough.

:j:j SB - for remembering 2.5 year checks for DD - it was months ago! They checked speech, motor skills, concentration etc.

    Good Luck Elle.

Sami - happy birthday for tomorrow for Chris.:j

Elle - good luck tomorrow...you will be fab!

    3 - :eek::eek: at the Drs!!!

Susan - A few months ago, I bought a pack of three pairs of tights from Boots. They were £7 but I had to get them because I couldn't find 0-3 month tights anywhere else. Everywhere did 0-6 months and they were huge on Caitlin. Since then, we've had quite a few pairs with outfits so I haven't had to buy anymore. I know Next sell them (we received a pack of three as a present) but I guess they might be quite expensive too. Debenhams have some in the sale. Try this link but if it doesn't work, search "tights" and then click on "sale" on the lefthand side. Two pairs for £3.60.

I'm off to bed now as DH is home and I have to go to work tomorrow .

    Night all xxx
