Really great now actually! I have far more patience now for babies. In fact the only thing that bothers me now is how much better I am with the baby than I was with DD was she was little. Still, not much I can do about that and she's turned out ok so I couldn't have been that bad!
DD did not take it well when I was first pregnant, but now she really does dote on her wee bro.
I haven't found it too weird going back to having a totally dependant child and I don't really feel like this is second time round IYKWIM, I can hardly remember the times when DD was a baby so it all feels new.
Thats possibly a bit more long winded than you were expecting lol
How are you finding things?
Findings this pretty much the same as you - I have a lot more patience this time round and as I was only 20 when I had DD1 I felt I had to prove I wasnt usless - this time I couldnt care less what people thinkDD1 is great with the baby and I am totally enjoying have a LO around again. Def have the best of both worlds now:p
Becles - Get you!! I'm impressed:rotfl:19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0 -
Thanks everyone had initially tried e45 but it made no difference whatsoever.
The epaderm is like lard lol and apparently you can put some in the bath after melting it but have not tried it as I bathe Matt in his tummy tub and can imagine him sliding all over the place in there...
Its things like him trumping all the time (and it smells really really bad like sulphur lol) and poop wise he has greeny/mustardy type poo with curdy type of white bits (sounds lovely and apologies if you were eating) combined with the excema that makes me wonder about the lactose aspect. He is already on aptamil comfort but maybe it's not enough??Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!
Brand new baby boy (Matthew) born 3 weeks early weighing a diddly 5lb 4 oz!!0 -
Think i spoke too soon about Elliot being ok today, he's just done a horrible runny mucky nappy
And we think he's cutting another tooth as he's been screaming and chewing on his dummy like mad. Why does he get ill at the same time as cutting a tooth?!
yuk yuk yuk!!
at least he's only uncomfort once instead of twice IYSWIM
pookie - Jack trumped like a trooper for at least 8-10weeks and they were mega smelly. his poo had white seeds in as well but I thought that was normal for FF babies. he has grown out of it and now its just smelly poo's and non-smelly trumps. msybe Matthew will grow out of it tooA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Nowt wrong with rusks! I think I used too (Struggling to remember here lol) break up a bit of rusk and add her milk too it, when she first started weaning, too a gloopy consistency!
She preffered those heinz biscotti' things, still eats them now If I buy some in, though she prefers COOOOOKIIIIEEESSS.
When she first started weening, I gave her jars, I didn't know how too cook, all we used to eat was like oven chips and fish/goujons etc. But she cut her teeth early, so it didn't last long before she would get fruit/toast/egg/veg etc.
If people judge you for using jars/rusks/formula whatever, just tell them to !!!! off, I can't be done with all the snobbyness. I swear to blog, mothers looking down on other mothers, trying to make themselves seem superior, is what gives a lot of other mothers problems when they aren't "perfect"
I'm so laid back about all this crud Im practically horizontal.
I gave Keira BK fries today and 2 cookies. Shoot me now!0 -
Pookie, I have a recommendation for eczema, but it is homeopathic. I used Graphite cream and Evening Primrose cream, both from the Nelsons range. I got them from Holland and Barratt.
My little one had suffered with eczema from birth off and on until about two and a half; the E45, Double Base and Aqueous creams did nothing for her.
I investigated online, since I was wary of steriod creams and the like, and found a couple of recommendations for homeopathic remedies. When I went in Holland and Barratt the shop woman suggested Evening Primrose, and tbh I am quite sure this did the trick, as this is all I use on flare ups now. Apparently it improves the general skin condition, rather than treating the symptoms.
My girl used to be sore and weeping in the creases of her arms and around her wrists until I used these creams, and now she only flares up a little in the summer when she gets sweaty.Debt free as of July 2010 :j

Well said Buttons :beer:0 -
She has left half a cookie if you want? She stopped eating because apparently "Cookie's give you black teeth and make your teeth fall out" Clearly only after the first 1 and a half though.
She was telling the taxi driver earlier "Manny, I went Ice Skating today and I didn't fall over and get blood on my head, then I got ARSEY some little baby cute toy mice, then my mummy bought a bin, but HEY MUMMM WHY DIDNT YOU BUY ME THE BEAUTIFUL PURPLE SHOES WITH THE HEELS? Tangent....."
I really would like to see what goes on in her head, she had a lovely dream last night
"SWIPER NOOOO, DORA GET HIM!!"
Not funny either but my little sister has a girl in her class called "Theadora" and my mum keeps calling her "Diadora" So now I can't help but ask Ellie if Dia dora dora dora the explooooooorer is her friend. I'm so mean0 -

I'll have to try this on myself, having a rough time with eczema at the moment. My left hand has cracks and has been weeping, nothing is helping that ive been given off doctors this time. Currently got a cotton glove on left hand to try to keep moisture off cream inMommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -

I bet you don't say that once she's at school and you experience playground politics :rotfl:
You have to be fashionably dressed in clean clothes, immaculate hair, perfectly applied make up and say things in a loud voice like "oh and of course we never let him have sweets as he eats so much fruit", or "we do have a television but she only watches the wildlife programmes"
I used to work 9am-2pm when the boys were little, so I'd fly home and get cracking on with jobs and I couldn't be bothered to get changed again just to walk back along to school. Other mothers didn't think much of me turning up in tatty trainers and green stained clothing as I'd been gardening or paint stained clothes or covered in flour. Yup - I'm messyHere I go again on my own....0
