  • Oh, and Weezl - Izzy has never been a very sicky baby, but that does sound quite a lot to me. Might be worth speaking to HV about next time you go to the clinic?

Weezl - Quick question, What double have you got/are you getting...can you please talk some sense into me before I buy a stupidly expensive pushchair that i'm sure I don't really need!!!

Oh mel, I'm really stingy so I'm probably not the best person to ask!

I got a mothercare side by side stroller from freecycle :o and we're thinking of playing it by ear about how that works out. For the first little bit, I think I'll try to have Kester in the baby bjorn and push fergie in the Jane carrera c... and then migrate onto the side by side until I decide it's daft?doesn't go thru doorways, get on the bus etc. At which point I'll maybe give in and get the P and T that Sami recommended and elle found on special offer!

But an icandy would be a lovely treat for yourself and will attract admiration at baby groups, so go for it ;)

    Thanks Weezl.

I could probably get up there if I had to, it would just be easier all round if I didn't have to take Kezia. If she cried I'd either have to leave her to it (and I can't bear hearing her cry for too long) or get out of the chair to sort her out risking the anaesthetic wearing off. I've spoken to Mum and Dad and they are coming to my town for something else later in the week so if I can just wait a bit they'd be able to have Kezia for an hour whilst I go.

Obviously if I have to go before then then I'll just have to ask someone to come down and help me with the pushchair. I've seen other people leave them, completely unattended, in the downstairs stairwell but there is no way I'm doing that with a £400 pushchair. Doubt the insurance would cover willfully leaving it unattended!!!

No! Bad naughty Weezl...You are meant to be helping me NOT buy it:p

On the side by side, I have definitely decided I need a tandem style as I like to use my local shops and they are very squishy inside...barely room for people to walk about in, never mind pushchairs:rolleyes: A lady at the school said that the side by side is handy esp as the kiddlies get older as it stops quarreling about who gets to sit in the front seat;)

I was about to post something stupid about just taking her up in the car seat, but then it clicked that you will probably be walking:o Fwiw, I think waiting for someone to be free to look after her would be best as you say, if she starts crying while you are having treatment it might be a bit tricky

Mel, my husband says that sort of stuff to me during arguments, because he knows it will get to me. And he does get a bit miffed with the state of the house at times. Usually he knows that it will never be perfect till they all leave home, but when we argue he will just throw it out there with all his frustrations. I've even had the 'well my Mum had 3 and managed to keep the house clean and tidy!' Not even going to tell you what I replied to that one  In calm moments I do say to him that unless he is willing to help more (the problem is, he doesn't help) then he has no right at all to comment on what state the house is in and that his comments are not helpful, I already feel bad enough that I can't keep everything perfect.

    Thanks Mel.

You're right, I'd be just cutting off my nose to spite my face to try to manage on my own. That damn independant streak will get me into trouble one day. I always said I'd never ask people to baby sit, it was my choice to have her blah blah blah. Just didn't realise how hard somethings are with a pushchair.

Really really makes me appreciate that I don't have to worry about a wheelchair.

How are you feeling this morning? Apart from unappreciated, hopefully it was just a 'heat of the moment' comment and not really meant IYKWIM.
