  • Oh, Southern meeting up - I work on Wednesdays, but can take a day off with a bit of notice. (I'm off worth Thurs and Fridays) - where are we meeting?!

Elle, we are in a stage at the mo where there are new things every day - not big things - mostly things I notice her understanding - normally toys or food!

Em, I know it won't help for tomorrow, but could you persuade your nan to sign up for one of the chemist delivery things? We get Rhys' meds delivered to the house because some have to be ordered in, so it saves me picking up the prescription, dropping it off at the chemist, then having to go back after a few days to pick it all up :)

Wow, MFD! Reading that we are quite mean :o

Bath and playtime, then dried/talced, the battle of getting dressed/bagged for bed, then a cuddle with daddy while he has his bottle, then laid down in the cot, quiet, sharp exit! We almost never have to go back in, we sometimes hear him crawling up and down the cot and he sometimes has a little squinny, but he goes off on his own :o

sorry, was reading back on my phone so apologies if I've missed off anyone/thing...

thanks for responding harley - it was me who was asking about entertaining young babies. I try and do silly faces with him, but a lot times he doesn't want to focus his eyes on me (in fact, it's a real effort to get him to look at me most of the time, despite what all the websites say about babies loving faces!). He does get more alert day by day TBH so think I was just prematurely fretting like a new mum :o

I can't remember who was asking about christening for grandparents (feely??)...obviously to each their own, but I think it comes down to whether the child will have a religious upbringing or no. Obviously there's no 'harm' in a baptism/christening for ceremony's sake, but I just feel it's a bit silly if the parents have no intention of every bringing their child inside a church again. Just my 2 pence, mind you.

Congrats on all the babies doing wonderful things today! :T

Finn's afternoon nap ran a little too long so now he has no desire for bedtime! :o I've noticed that most people on here seem to have their LO waking at around 7/7:30am-ish...I don't wanna get up that early! :rotfl: can I have him sleep 8-8 instead? :o:p (I would love 9-9 in theory but think that might be taking the p ) Might be our problem, actually...I feed him at 6:30/7am and then go back to bed - I was spoiled at sleeping in 'til 8:30/9am on maternity leave!!

  • Well done on your second night ladybird. I read your diary with interest.

FWIW, our 'routine' goes like this:

Ta - we've got a good routine going before we get as far as actually going to bed, I'm just having to fix the bit at the end :) We will get there, but I'm glad I've taken a week off to do it, as I'm feeling less pressured by the whole thing. I just have to be strict with myself when she is having a temper ;)
