Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
SB that's what i used to do whether it was wet or dirty, didn't wanna faff around pulling them down when wet. But i didn't like the way you couldn't 'parcel' them cos there's no sticky tabs if that makes sense? lol.

Speaking of nappies, what preference did people have for non-crawly babies? I automatically went for Pampers cos i remembered not liking Huggies when DS was younger but that was almost 7 years ago so i figure they are prob different by now.

I started on the freebie Huggies (thanks csh ;)) last night and atm i think i prefer them to Pampers? For one, because their sticky tabs aren't sticky, and also because she has explosive pooey farts that sometimes blow out of the side of Pampers (yes they're that forceful:rotfl:) but it hasn't happened yet.

Sorry if anyone happened to be eating when they read that :rotfl:

I want to try some of the own-brand nappies when she's a size or two bigger, any recommendations?

Em - have you tried the 'no' then distract tactic? I say no and then try to tempt him to come to me using a Waybuloo or whatever I have to hand. I sometimes even tempt him with my mobile :o

I don't want to be no, no, no all the time so unless it is actually dangerous I leave him to it!

    For dinner Benjamin had:

About 6 mouthfuls of cod, courgette and sweetcorn pasta
About 4 mouthfuls of lamb curry and rice
    A slice of malt loaf
2 x pizza crusts (we ate early tonight LOL) so 1/3 of a pizza crust.
1/2 a pear, just snapped the top off and left him to it
    1/4 banana
    1/2 pot of Rice Pudding
    2 Biscotti
    2 x Fromage Frais

Oh - was going to moan that he was just picking but when I write it down like that it looks okay...

    AND

    DER, DAH, DEEEEEEERRRRR

he managed to do clap hands :T although only 1 at a time!
No, I hadnt actually thought of that :o will give it a go! He grabs OH's glasses clean off his face in seconds and has actually bent them  he grabs mine too but I dont wear them as often so its not so much of an issue. He is obsessed with cables too, I've put a box in front of most of them but the laptop cable he can still get to, and does!
And that is a awesome dinner, I wish Seth would eat that much, he might actually sleep properly then!!

    Me bad?

How very dare you ;) :rotfl: I saw it and thought of me too!
That stupid Peter Kay dress-up thing is what reminds me of it, cos he decided to tell me the day it was on!
Also, I asked the other day but then got lost and couldn't find answers. Sorry to bother you all again! Is there a reason why I can't use pull-ups (assuming they do them in size 4+ or 5) instead of normal nappies?
The CM used them on Seth one day when I forgot to send him with an adequate supply and he was fine :) but they were Aldi ones, which he normally wears anyway!

    I looked, but you're safe.. ;) I want one of these! :D

Beenie, I've still not taken Rhys shopping on my own and he's almost eight months old! :o

All this talk of exploding kitchen appliances, I barely dare cook tea... any excuse! ;)
We're not cooking, OH has braved the elements for a Chinese - Mc D's and Chinese in one day _pale_
Those rockers are lovely, I think Seth needs the elephant one!!
Sorry all but I haven't caught up yet!

But just saw your post, Feely:

I have recently used pull-ups on both Poppy & Jamie as Tesco sent me Pampers ones to test and both are in size 5. I had no problems at all and not one leak! I did have a slight panic at first as I couldn't figure out how to correctly get them off when they had a poo  but in the end just ripped each side with my fingers iyswim? Not sure if this is the right way though! :o

    xx
I think that is the right way, thats the only way I've seen people ever take them off, definitely seems the cleanest way!!

Aldi's are fantastic! They are thicker than Pampers, have a better outside material that has a bit more structure to them and doesnt flop over the tabs and scrunch up, and they seem more absorbant! They are £5.69 for 52 size 4's, same price for smaller sizes but a couple more in the pack :)

    Evening everyone, hope everyones ok?

had done some quotes but they'v not worked so il c wot i can remember!

feelie, i dont see any reason why u cant use pull-ups, i still have to put one on jake at bedtime, think the sizing is slighty diff on them though, ie Medim, Lg, XL ect rather than 4, 4+, they are quite expensive though compared to ordinary nappies.
Oh just remembered I stocked up on pull ups at the last asda baby event, i you go down on the last day they put everything half price so I got loads cos they worked out mega cheap!!

Buttons, What you post about kieras food habits make me laugh cos it reminds me o jake so much!! i feel so bad that his diet is mainly fish fingers and chicken nuggets while me and jasmine have nice homecooked meals! he'l have 2 bites of food then say he's 'tuffed! (stuffed 2 me and you lol) oh but 2 minutes later he'l be begging for chocolate:rolleyes:!! He does love his fruit though so not all bad I suppose its just the evening meal I struggle with, OH makes it worse I think because he makes such a fuss over it!

SM, I ordered a car seat off boots last week and they took the money when it was despacted, still not got it mind thanks to this bloody snow!! Dont forget quidco for boots, its not alot though something like 1.5%,

I think im coming down with something, god knows how Ive caught anything though ive not left the house in god knows how long!! Jakes school shut again tomorrow!!

    Hi to everyone else, xx

Tonight my baby didn't want a BF before bed. Was bound to happen sooner or later, he is becoming less and less interested as he grows up. I feel a little sad but I am happy that he is pulling back from BF'ing rather than me stopping him. He is nearly 10 months now.Bless him.

El did the same at around 9 months just decided enough was enough I was glad as at least I didn't have to worry about me taking it from her!!

  • MFD, stickers are the answer! (thank you, Becles! :D).

My changing basket always has them and a sticker on the back of his hand or arm has Jamie's attention for ages - well at least for me to do what needs to be done! Poppy has Peppa Pig ones and asks for hers as soon as she lies down :rotfl:.

    PS: yay on clapping! :T

    xx

I will be battling through the snow for stickers tomorrow :D what a fab, fab, fab idea :A
sorry MFD i must of missed the clapping hands .. i love when babies clap .. any vids?? x

Nope, I am crap mummy who doesn't do videos!! He needs more practice yet, he is only doing 1 clap at a time then grinning and waiting for his cheers and applause  little show off!!

I guess I thought Benjamin hadn't eaten much because it was loads of different things because he wouldn't eat anything for more than a few mouthfuls :o He is a good little eater, his CM says he can eat more than her 2 girls (aged 2 and nearly 4!!)

I need to do an online shop, when does the Asda baby event start?
