I sound the cushiest (is that a word?!) of the lot..
Not that having money helps you be any good at handling it! I've still spent stupid stupid amounts of money through laziness and have far too many clothes which I really ought to do something with..
Those Willow Trees are all lovely, MM, but I really like the Tenderness one!Might just have to mention that one to OH..

My childhood was ok, I mean stuff happened and I saw stuff no child should ever see, but I actually remember the good stuff more. I didn't realise till I was older that the bad stuff was bad. It was normal! When I hit 11-12 I was more or less left to get on with it. Parents lost it in the bottle. My lil bro spent most of his time staying over with friends (long story his school was in the next town and so were all his friends), so I was left to it. I also got a lot of stuff dierected at me from my dad so he could get at my mum (I don't think he fully beleives that I'm his, he was with my mum, they split, he got married to someones else, divorced and my mums friend told him about me). But it's more my teenage years, left to buy my own dinner, do the houseowork, clean up after their parties/barnies etc. Felt very resentful after I left home and they calmed down! Kinda felt like I had caused it after they stopped when I was away. Though, I left when pregnant with Ds1 after an 'incident' bad enough to cut them off and swear that if they didn't change they would never see their grandchild or me again.
They did change though.
I'm all deep and depressing tonight, sorry!0 -

I've never had debt (except the store card my mum took out in my name....)
I think I would hyperventalate if I got into debt, my mum went bankrupt cause she had 50k of debt, her own fault and greed. She's a pleb and I won't even start on what she was like when I was a kid but needless to say I got nothing, had to wear the same minging clothes etc etc no wonder I was bullied.
We are quite well off? I think? Well, I can afford to go blow £££ in town on clothes every month If I wanted, but then we have no mortgage or a car. Live in council housing so it's onnly £300 pm.0 -
MM, those are lovely!!! The last one reminds me of DS2... and I've spotted the one that reminds me of DD, so I need one for DS1.
To ask for my birthday! And stuff.
Night MM!0 -

My silly spending was when I had a fulltime job and still loved at home, apart from £150 "lodge money" it was all mine to do with what I wanted. Just laziness of ordering clothes online and not sending back the ones that didn't fit in time and stupid stuff like that. Still guilty of it now occasionally - if I couldn't afford them I wouldn't order them but it's now not so much the money that stops me but the lack of space.. then I get to thinking what I could have done with the money instead. But then I'm debt free now so I don't have the pressing feeling of debt stopping me either, just need to get into a saving more mindset :cool:0 -

Now... I have just worked out that Peter wasn't robbed to pay Paul, but Paul had money in a wallet that I gave him for something else that I returned and he just hadn't told me about it.... So I feel a bit better and Peter has been paid back and Paul told off
But I will stick to my resolution of not spending anything on stuff I don't need.0
