Hi MM. Love that mother and daughter figurine. I'll add that to my want list for when K is older.
I wanted this one: http://www.theukgiftcompany.co.uk/willow_tree_figures/willow_tree_angel_of_mine/16498_p.html
Sorry, no idea how to shorten a link.
I dropped enough hints that I thought someone might get it for me from Kezia for Xmas ( I'd actually hoped someone might get it when she was born, but Xmas seemed like the next best thing). Didn't get it so went looking for it in the sales but couldn't find it. Mentioned to mum that I'd looked and she said she was going to do it but was going to do something extra with it. Not really sure what she meant as they can't be engraved or anything.
Sorry, that turned into a bit of a moan again.
Yay for Dylan, btw. I'm skim reading as I really can't keep up and seem to keep missing all the important stuff. Only knew about Rhys cos I saw FB.xxx
I've been up since 3.15am, started snowing at about 4.30 and been downstairs watching it through the back door. Seems to have stopped now though and only got about 3 inches but the bbc website gives more for later. Car is still at garage ready to be fixed today but I'm guessing it'll be frozen shut again so they won't be able to fix it for a while yet.
Please keep all your fingers crossed that it won't cost too much as this week is the first week that I've just dropped to SMP.

Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j
Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
Morning all
I'm not going to work today, as mum can't get here. Sounds like they've had a bit more than us. DH has gone into work though. Hopefully he'll be back early.
I can't believe I forgot to post this yesterdaybut Caitlin can now sit! She was sitting up before Xmas but after a few seconds would fall. Yesterday she managed to sit unsupported for 15 minutes until she got bored. Also, I think she's mastered rolling over in the past couple of days. This morning and yesterday morning, I've gone into her room to find her rotated 180 degrees and flipped over on to her front
. She can't manage to get back though and hasn't done it in public yet
Will try and catch up with last night's posts now although I have a grumbly baby laying next to me on the bed and I think she might want her breakfast...0 -

You will, and you'll be so proud when you've done it
MOTM - glad you got the phone bill issue sorted out
Mel - I hope Kai's temperature has come down today and you got a good night's sleep.
Carly - yay to your maternity leave!! We'll be going back about the same time now, so can betogether when the time comes!
MM - I like your Willow Trees, especially the Mother and Daughter one
Must go as need to give Caitlin breakfast.0 -
Yay caitlin for sitting and rolling:D
Kai slept until 6.30 with one grumble at 5am so not too bad. Just got txt as I was typing, School is closed today, although might have to go out as I have a midwife appt at 9.20 so will give them a ring at 9am and see if they are there today.
motm - btw my dad kicked me out because I got a boyfriend......who now happens to be my husband. He didn't even know for sure, as I had been friends with him and going round his house for 6mths before we got together, didn't stop him going psycho and launching at me trying to punch me though!!! What he thought having a boyfriend would mean, I have no idea....I had already been sexually active for a year!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Well done Caitlyn for sitting up!! And Rhys, in case I missed him last night
(Did I get the right Caitl*n? lyn? lin?
)
And Dylan for his swimming adventures - sorry, MM I saw it and thought, Hey, that's great! but then didn't actually transfer the thought from my brain to my fingers to the screen.
SM I asked for budgeting help a while ago and got a bit of a flaming from everyone over in DFW. There was some very helpful advice amongst the nastiness though so I just filtered out the horrible bits. You know what SM, and BM and everyone else with dodgy childhoods, we should all totally go break into houses cos apparently the fact that you had a bad childhood gives you an excuse. A friend of mine was laughing at that the other week after a local lad got let off because his Dad hit his Mum. She reckons she has clocked up enough for a bank job, I think I have enough for a small buildings society.
Tia, I read an article yesterday about three teenage boys who were convicted of gang-raping a classmate. They were all African-American (it was actually in the county in the US where Husband grew up!) and none of them had any sort of father figure present in their lives. The girl they raped was a white girl from an Irish Catholic family with both parents in the home. They did some really stomach-turning damage to her. The judge summed up by talking at length about how the girl had asked for it, and when the boys were found guilty sentenced them all to probation.
I'm going to collect some stuff for ebaying quite soon. I was a bit naughty and spent £100 in the Next sale right after Christmas  and while I can afford it, I'm [STRIKE]a bit[/STRIKE] embarrassed with myself for having had so little restraint and I can't do returns from here. So a spot of ebaying is in my near future
Public holiday here today, I'm going to hunt out some ebay stuff, do a lot of situps and quietly whinge to myself because my ears are all blocked up.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning all :hello:
Yay for sitting and rolling!Choppy, I forget when Caitlin was born.. I think our due dates were two weeks apart but can't remember who was first. Rhys was due 19th July
Good luck with the eBaying, SS!
I'm not sure if Rhys is still asleep but he's quiet all the sameJust waiting for 9am-ish then I'm going to phone the hospital and see if the physio has turned in. I don't trust that they'll ring me early; they'll leave it until we're sat here waiting for her when we could have a slower morning if we know sooner.. ie I can fall back to sleep!

Morning
Yay for Catlin sitting up! I'm hoping it won't be too long before my Caitlyn is doing it too, think they're near the same age?
Elle - I love that photo of Rhys!
SS - Hope you have a productive day listing the things you don't need - it's better to have bought and lost than never to have bought at all
I'm off to the Post Office later to post my aunties birthday present. Might have to post my mums too (they're twins) because the roads are really bad here and I may not be able to drive there on Sunday!
Off to get Caitlyn dressed catch you all later xSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

That story is awful, how on earth could she have 'asked for it' just because she came from a decent family unit???
Good luck with the ebaying, and I wouldn't worry about £100 in the sales, it is a pretty restrained amount:D
I also asked for advice over on the dfw board once, got made to feel that I was completely stupid:rolleyes: My finances are complicated because I get money coming in weekly/fortnightly/four weekly/and a lump sum 3 times a year....before I left work I used to also get monthly!! I find it really hard juggling it sometimes. I remember the good old days when me and dh used to just both work full-time and both get paid near the end of the month.....ahhhh, so easy:pUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
