nice one carlax
I know what you mean hun. I say I'm skint, but in a 'I have no money till Wednesday/Friday'. I know how lucky we are now, but I wanted to say, it is possible to get there. I also realise that we do waste so much and we could be saving more instead of spending, and this year I plan on doing that. I now have everything I need for Amber (highchair, the new pram wasn't entirley needed but come summer we would need one for going on holiday - paid by family fund I should add or we wouldn't have one at all) and now have no excuse to waste willy nilly. In saying that, on paper we can't afford the mortgage we have now! We need to save this year to get the loft done and get an extra bedroom.

Gawd, I had to buy my own. My mum said 'just put them in the trolley', only she never went to asda or anything. It was all local spar stuff (cos they were alcoholics). I had a job from aged 11 and had to buy them myself. But I still usually had to use wads of loo roll. Wasn't offerd money to buy things like that or given pocket money. Heck after my first year in high school I ended up buying my own school uniform (even though they had went and claimed the clothing grant).
I get quite bitter looking back. Dinners of supernoodles cos they were skint but they still somehow managed to buy 20 fags and a half bottle of vodka. Rice one time because there was a pack in the house. Flavoured with butter and pepper. Think it was a bottle of cider and only 10 fags cos they were super skint (the full bottle of vodka the night before wiped them out you see).0 -
I'm huilty of that SM, we have very little money, but we are not broke. I can afford a new top every now and then, but only because I have given myself 5 years to repay my debt instead of clearing it in 2, but the way i look at it is I work damn hard for my money and Chris looks after Jasmine all day and does all the school runs, we dont drink, or really ever go out, so the odd take away or new thing is our treatThe two best things I have done with my life

tia im very bitter towards my mother for stuff like that coz of her gambling habits .. sharing one bag of chips between me my sis and my 2 bros .. having to steal a slice of cheese for something to eat after school .. yet my mother could spend £500 in the muggies ..
mm the way you have it is what fits you and you live within your means .. but im fed up of hearing my RL friends go on about how they're broke but still go oh look what ive got or where im going but ive just spent 30 mins listening to them say how they're going to afford food ..
carla step away from the roses :rotfl: xStill searching .....:)
