Right I'm back, briefly....Kids are all in bed (see how long ds3 stays asleep for!) I have completely cleared one half of the kitchen....I have bleached the sink and drainer and all the worktops and the hob:)

I need to go and finish this blasted plastering now so I can tidy the other half of the kitchen that is taken up with tools/toolboxes and buckets.

MOTM - Hope your chat with dd15 went ok....And it is easy to run up a big bill on those silly phone-ins without realising. My old manager did it when gareth gates and will young were finalists...and she is in her 50's, but just didn't realise just how nany times she had phoned up!!!!

Beenie - I hope your note gets you a result.

    Mel x

I am BF but its becoming a struggle as LO doesnt want to latch on, have tried couple of EBM feeds in a bottle and he takes that ok, I guess BF just isnt for me but thats not a problem as I keep telling myself as all babies are different and he has had 4 weeks worth.... sorry for all successful BFeeders

keep just about catching up the Kezia needs me. By the time I come back there's another 6 pages.

Glam, really glad to 'see' you, was starting to worry a bit. x

Beenie, sorry things are being so pants right now but you are doing a fab job and amber is gorgeous, well done you.

Elle, Yay for Rhysy sitting up, get that camera ready - we want piccys.

Still no snow here, despite the forecast for between 10 and 40 cm depending on which map you look at. Typically I dropped the car over to the garage for fixing really early in the hope of avoiding the snow, and now I look like a wuss. Can't believe the damn thing needs more work. The door latches seem to keep sticking, sometimes I can't even open the door then on Friday I left door open whilst I dropped a card through someones door and by the time I got back, about 20 seconds, the latch had stuck open so that the door bounced open every time I tried to shut it. The only way I could drive home was to leave the window down and push the lock down to 'catch' it shut. (a very old style car with no central locking btw). Hope it won't cost too much as this is my first week of just SMP. I've saved some pennies but they are supposed to last me until July.

Maz, 4 weeks is excellent, you have given William a very good start and should definitely not beat yourself up for wanting to switch to formula. If you persevere with EBM then great that is just as good as actual BF only it allows someone to help you. If you switch to formula that is just as good and again means it's not just you having to do all the work.

William needs a plentiful supply of food and a happy mummy, not necessarily in that order. Do what is best for the two of you and ignore what anyone else thinks.

Thanks. This is kinda where we are at. We 'aim' to put him to bed by 7pm and then we dream feed him at 11pm and he wakes around for 4am for feed and then is good till 7am when I wake him to start the day. Last 2 nights he either sleft through till 7am and dropped the 4am feed or as was last night I put his dummy in when he stirred and he went back to sleep so clearly wasn't hungry but just used to waking around 4am. Hoping he sleeps through tonight but he had his jabs today so who knows!

God, so good to hear this as I thought I was being a bad mom by finding it all so hard. Phew, I am normal after all. I just need to get over the evening dreads as evenings are hell with colic and Harry not going to sleep without a fight - it seems never ending. Days are good, evenings are a horror show it seems!

Normal, normal, normal. Alex also had colic. Have you got Colief? It's expensive, but works an absolute treat. We saw a difference in 24 hours. Don't get me wrong, not an end to the screaming, but significantly less. The only way we got through it was, every day when he fell asleep we mentally ticked it off in our heads as one less to deal with. We didn't know when it would end, but every day was one less to do. That helped keep me positive. In the end he got over it at about 10 weeks. He started sleeping through about 14 weeks if that gives you any hope?

Maz - you know better, stop it now! ;) You've done brilliantly and it's no insult to successful BFs that it's not the right thing for you. I know the guilt (believe me) but you just have to let it go. XX

Oh, and thanks to SB and her links I've just bought Imogen a Gruffalo Trunki to add to the Wii Fit Plus I bought 10 minutes earlier. Oops!

Thanks. Wish I could nail a routine like this. I wouldn't have a clue about stating it at the moment as it seems to be all over the place other than knowing when the feed is (ever 3 hours). Must stop beating myself up about it and let things progress naturally I guess.....
Getting Harry into a feeding routine is great...the rest will be easier. Caitlin has (well apart from yesterday and today when it's gone to pot a bit!) fallen into the EASY routine by herself. She's 6 months now and it did take us a while to get there but she was over three months old before we even had a feeding routine.

EASY is the Baby Whisperer's way and it's Eating, Activity, Sleeping, You. So, after a feed, do an activity (that can be play time or something such as a nappy change or a bath), then they should be ready for a sleep, then whilst they're sleeping it's you time :D. As I said, Caitlin found this routine herself, but it's really helped as I know she has sleeps at around 9:30, 12:30 and then 3:30. She only sleeps for a max of 30mins each time but it's enough time for me to jump in the shower or clean the bathroom etc (or browse on here )

Lu - am very jealous of your real hot choc. Mmmmmmmmmm

Tia - nearly a whole raw onion???? Why?!?!?!

Elle - hope you've enjoyed your doughnuts. I really fancy some cake now. Haven't got any though :(

Beenie - have you got something you can record the noise on for 10 mins, to save you having to write every bang down?

    to everyone else

DH is out so I'm tempted to take the lappy upstairs to bed. I'm in the lounge which is the warmest room in the house but I'm still not very warm. Also the baby monitor has just run out of battery (why can't they supply two chargers - one to keep upstairs and one to keep downstairs - it would make life so much easier). But that means moving my bum off the sofa and I'm feeling lazy.
