evening all - DH has man flu (oh joy) so both my boys are in bed. Will join them shortly (how sad!), but I think I realise why evenings are so busy on here - everyone hops on when LOs are in bed!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Or dispatched to OH, in our case aless
Mind you, that's as good as in bed for Rhys as he's zonked out on OH's chest while OH lounges back in his big comp chair, feet up on the desk

Evening
Kids in bed and ...... both sleeping !!:T Its not even 9.30 and shes asleep:j
MM, random question, when does Jas start staying longer at school? Do they finish later as they get into higher years, or is it so early all through this school?
They are in till 12 in nursery, then 2pm primary 1,2 and 3 and then 3pm for 4 - 7 and then most secondry schools are 3.25pm
Hydro went really well today, she is really happy with him, shoulder is loosening up nicely. He was even reaching out infront of him to grab the beach ball and tried to eat the boat !! All good
Hope you are all well xxThe two best things I have done with my life

SM - how did your budget go?
Not sure if I'm going to work tomorrow. DH has to phone in the morning to see if he needs to go in. I'm kinda hoping not so we can have a family day. If I do go, mum's looking after Caitlin for me and I've arranged that we'll speak at 6:30 tomorrow morning to make a decision.
Think I'm going to go to bed. Will take lappy up with me but will be away for a few mins whilst I get ready for bed.0 -
DH's lunch & bottles made for tomorrow so off to bed shortly.
Night all.

Just briefly read back but this caught my sense of humour I would have thought DH was a little too old for bottles!!!!!

ah yes, this is why I let DH take the 'night shift' on the couch when Finn doesn't settle after one of his middle-of-the-night feeds. I knew men were useful for something!Hope your boobies get better, elle!

I am BF but its becoming a struggle as LO doesnt want to latch on, have tried couple of EBM feeds in a bottle and he takes that ok, I guess BF just isnt for me but thats not a problem as I keep telling myself as all babies are different and he has had 4 weeks worth.... sorry for all successful BFeeders
I lasted till 8 weeks before I started giving formula because she wasn't getting enough (3 nappies a day not even wet), then till 14 weeks combined feeding (down to 1 feed a day in the last week or so). I did feel guilty for a few weeks about it, but looking back, BF wasn't actually doing me any good. A lot of my, neurotic behaviour was linked to the BF (was very possessive of her), and I feel a lot better now that she is bottle fed. Besides that, she is doing a lot better, I can see now that she wasn't a happy healthy baby on BF alone. BF is great, I'm not denying that, but if there is an alternative that can make things even better for the family as a whole, then go for it.chopsticks wrote: »Tia - nearly a whole raw onion???? Why?!?!?!
DH is out so I'm tempted to take the lappy upstairs to bed. I'm in the lounge which is the warmest room in the house but I'm still not very warm. Also the baby monitor has just run out of battery (why can't they supply two chargers - one to keep upstairs and one to keep downstairs - it would make life so much easier). But that means moving my bum off the sofa and I'm feeling lazy.
I sliced it up salad style, for crispy chicken wraps (help yourself style) and nobody ate them and they were really good, so I sat munching them and before you knew it, they were all in ma belly!Although, I did also have a smoothie earlier that day so it could have been that.

*hugs* to Maz with BF difficulties...
actually, that reminds me a question I wanted to ask...those that BF but do EBM for nights or whatever, at what age did you start and what brand bottles do you use? Finn seems to be going brilliantly so far (touch wood) and I'm in no mega-rush to introduce bottles, but I know DH is keen to at least be able to give 1 bottle at night or something. I know it's too early now, but wondering roughly when would be okay so as not to have the dreaded "nipple confusion" MWs warn about. 1 month? 6 weeks? Ta! (going to get some bags soon to start freezing anyway even if we don't do bottle for a while yet)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
