Beenie I agree, I think it is best to get professional/experienced advice. Problem with notes, or talks soon after an incident, is that it is so easy to come across in a way you don't want. Personally, I'd avoid any more contact, and just contact you local Council and let them deal with it.

Sorry forgot to reply earlier, i have contacted E.Health who said it was passed on to housing as we're both tenants. Then housing said they had no details as EH hadn't given them any  So i explained it all again and she said she'd ring me yesterday but nothing yet so i'll chase tomorrow

Also i've spoken to them in person about it twice before and told them i'm not willing to simply "knock if we're too loud" everytime, like they suggested i do. So it's their own fault that they'll be getting a visit from the council.
  • Beanie I second what SM has said - I have been having the same problems with my neighbours and have now left it in the hands of the council - I just have to record a diary of the noise - poor you I know exactly how you feel:mad:

beenie it has to be the asb part of the council that has to contact the EH people or so i was told .. make a diary of every banging they make and anything after 7pm contact police 101 even if it stops before they get to you it helps your case x

Ah yeah the diary thing... Thing is it's so regular i'd be sat here all day with a notepad writing down every bang, sobbing into my pencil case

    08:07 Bang
    08:07 Bang
    08:08 Bang
    08:09 Double bang
    ..
    ..
    ..
    ..
    You get the idea

I know that's what they want though, such a bloody faff. All they have to do is send someone to sit in my front room for 10 mins they can see for themselves.

Edit- SM one of my concerns is that it doesn't *usually* go on til late at night, will i be told to "deal with it" in that case? This is my biggest fear. It starts at 8am or occasionally 6:30am, the other night it was going on at 11:30pm but usually stops after 9pm. I'm scared they will say it's general living noise, but how many times does anyone need to slam doors? If it was a few times a day i could handle it but it never stops, do they never just sit down and chill the !!!! out like normal people? Grrrrrrrrrr :mad:

Beenie, what sort of communication have you had with your neighbour up till now? Ever mentioned this to them before? Any other issues or otherwise friendly?

Feelie i've asked them twice, but one of those times was more about the TV they have in the kitchen, which they have since stopped blaring so they must care?? The banging is a recent-ish development, before that it was constant DIY which i didn't complain to them about as they'd just moved in although the frequency and length it went on for was ridiculous tbh.

Now the DIY is finished but every door in their house seems to have developed an anger problem?

SM edited my post on page before with Q. :D
