Aww Beenie, have some ((hugs)) from me. You don't need poison like that in your life hun!

Have you tried the antisocial behaviour department at your local council for the neighbours? Mine are awful so I kind of know how you feel...

DS has just got home after 2hr 50min on the bus, travelling less than 10 miles!
    School is closed tomorrow.

OH has just phoned, he's about 4 miles closer than he was at 4pm!

How do countries with proper snow manage?

I've decided.. I'm not feeding my son again today. Every time I do, he fills his nappy and its icky! Have warned OH he's taking over when he gets in.. Whenever that is! He finished work at 4.20pm, went three miles up the road to Asda, phoned me from there at 5.45pm and who knows how long it'll take the five miles to get home! ETA: He asked me what essentials we needed.. doughnuts, I told him ;)

Wouldn't the bin men have to report a bin dropping in there though Tia?

I shall reply to all of you later, but a small update...

15yo arrives home, I say I want a word and she already figured it out..."The phone bill has arrived hasn't it..." although she didn't think she'd called that many times, but none of the others did, so she must have lost count.

I've not lost my temper, despite how angry I was earlier, instead she was asked to stay in her room until dinner, she came down for dinner where she didn't say anything, but she'd been crying and she has just gone back up there and i've asked her to think about what she thinks should now happen. I shall go get her soon as I don't want her up there upset all night and she can talk to me about it and we can work it out. Lucy feels a bit upset as the falling out she's had with 15yo aside, she's not seen any of the girls in trouble before and she thinks it may be her fault and that it wouldn't have happened if she hadn't have got involved with me, which is silly.

I've taken all your ideas onboard and will reply later, but I want to give her the chance to 'make me an offer' if you see what I mean and Lucy wants to talk to her too.

Simple: we expect it so there's a proper infrastructure in place to deal with it :)

The farmers within a certain radius of the airport all have snowplough attachments for their tractors, so as soon as it starts snowing they're all contracted to go clear the runway. The city has a large number of snowploughs so the streets get cleared regularly, and everyone who has a car has summer and winter tyres so there are fewer accidents. People with elderly neighbours look out for them and make sure they don't have to go hobbling about on the ice to get bread and milk, and in general it's all very much taken in stride.

It's cold enough here that people put on facial moisturiser before taking even short trips outside, but it's only the first day of snow that tends to take people by surprise and by midafternoon everyone's calmed down and it all goes back to normal :)

The roads are terrible here now, It has just taken us 1hr 15mins to do a 20min round trip!

I think the txt from the school in the morning will be to say it is closed.

Wonder if that will be the same for my sister & kids.. shes near Nantwich.

Hi :D Just wondered if anyone could recommend wipes for delicate botty's?

I bought a load of Pampers sensitive, when they were on offer, thinking they'd be okay to use on such young skin but it seems i was wrong. I used cotton wool but changed to the wipes for ease of use after only a few days but she has a sore bum and is only 15 days old :(:o.

Am using cotton wool and water and letting air on it at the mo, it's not too bad just a bit red but i don't want it getting worse!

Anyway, has anyone had similar with newborn bums or did i just use the wipes too soon? They do say they're suitable for newborn skin but obv not hers!

My hospital said use cotton wool pads for first month aswell, I just use the odd wipe of a night to save faffing around with water at unearthl hours of the night.....

Just gave William a bottle of EBM as one of my boobs is bleeding at the side.... he took it really well and felt like such a relief for me (feels a bit guilty) ... wondering if I could just do mix of EBM and formula like that... any thoughts
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
