Not sure Beenie - the advice I read was no products for the first month (but the longer the better). It's Pampers Sensitive I am using just now but just used cotton wool for about the first couple of months. Have you tried Sudocrem on her bottom?

Ah thanks, yeah i know they say to use cotton wool but i tried taking shortcuts and it's a bit of a faff using water, in comparison :o Gonna stick with it though cos i don't want her with a sore botty it must sting. I've been using the sudocrem generously after letting her air off a bit and it's definitely fading.

Mel, my friend recommended the Johnsons wipes as her DS had a sore bum with pampers, will watch out for them being on offer.
  • We've used Huggies Pure/ Pampers Sensitive / Johnsons with no problems. If he looks a little bit red we slather the sudocreme on and it clears up sharpish.

Well done toothy and sitting-up littlies!!!

Krystal, my parents' neighbour broke the handle off his wheelie bin and swapped it for my parents' one. He thought he'd got away with it, but they saw him doing it - and theirs has a sticky with their house number on it, too, so the following week my dad went out to put the bin out at the same time as the guy next door and commented, Oh, YOU'VE got our bin! I thought someone had stolen our sticky number. I'm so glad it was just mistaken identity!! and the guy had to give it back.

Molly's asleep in the newly-renamed SitUp Room. So I shall eat some M&Ms instead.

My "mother" (< long story:rolleyes:) reckons it is more likely to be something i'm eating that's making her sore, but i can't see how - i've not been eating a lot in general and when i do it's bland stuff like cereals or toast

Beenie, sometimes they just randomly go a bit red then with a bit of sudo it clears again... I wouldn't rule out the pampers wipes straight away... And your "mother" is talking out of her rear ;)

I found that lots of sudocrem makes things worse. A tiny bit rubbed in really well works best.

I think it depends on baby, how their skin tolerates things. I used wipes on LO from Day One and he has only had nappy rash twice. I'd say stick with water (or re-useable wipes?) if possible for as long as you can.
