Anyone else thinking about MOTM's 15 yr old now?

Yup! Personally I would be making her pay it all. She's old enough for a full-time job or take it out of future spending money. She's likely to only do it once. I'm from a strict family but it didn't do me any harm.

LCK73 - Alex slept for about 10 hours at 9 weeks, but punctuated by a dream feed between 10.30pm and 11.30pm which we got him up for and another feed between 2am and 4am which he got me up for! He would lie in until gone 7pm. Gradually from 10 weeks we moved his bedtime earlier so he now goes in the bath just after 6pm and is in bed asleep by 7pm.

Feelie - glad you're doing okay. A nanny sounds interesting. I was looking into them at one point when we were wondering about what to do with the two of them when I'm back at work. Let us know how it goes won't you?

Fairies here have a box of Boots breastmilk storage bags, never used (as it were). Any takers? Fairy Post Office might be closed until next week though, due to snow

    Hiya

Not been on here for ages as Harry (now 9weeks old) has been taking up all my time and attention!

Just wondering how you little ones slept at this age, how much did they sleep during day and night and how did this sleep happen. We are all over the place still and just wondering what I'm doing wrong.......

    L

Amber slept too much and didn't feed well. But at his age go with the flow. You can try (and I mean try) to see if there is a routine that he is falling into. Does he have a feed around 6-8pm? Try putting him to bed after that and see if he will settle. Dream feed (or does he wake for a feed) about 11pm should help him manage through most of the night. A feed before 7am means back to sleep afterwards in my opinion.

The routine we fell into about this age (with the boys too) was,

7am feed and back to sleep
    10-11am feed and then play
    2-3pm feed then play
    5pm feed then play
7pm feed then into her bed
11pm feed (which was dropped about 12 weeks or so although at 20 weeks she sometimes will wake for a feed then depending on how much she has during the day).

    Hi there,
How do I join the club????
    x

Course you can :D But we have to ask questions first.

How old are the children/babies? How are the poo's? How are the boobs if breast feeding?

uhm... MFD will soon ask more.

    Welcome to the mad house!

Booby questions- does anyone use Lily Padz, like this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LilyPadz-Reusable-non-absorbent-breast-pads-BNIB_W0QQitemZ350288130945QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Baby_Baby_Feeding_Breast_Pads_Pumps_LE?hash=item518eccb381

Are they any good? I think they would be quite MSE as I seem to be spending a fortune on breast pads at the moment.

GISI - I couldn't even get the LilyPadz on, so they were completely useless for me! Medela Washable pads are the way to go.

    Hi LCK :hello:

Henry is nearly seven weeks old (should be nine weeks, if you remember me from the pg thread, he was 15 day late ). General pattern of sleeping is a short nap in the morning 30-45 minutes, a longer nap in the afternoon 2-3 hours, although this isn't set in stone and does depend what we are doing. Night-time we try for bed between 6:30-7:30pm ish. He then tends to sleep till about 2am (can sometimes go till 3 or 4am), has a feed and goes back off till 6-7am when he either gets up or has a feed and doses for another couple of hours (that partly depends on whether OH is getting up for work or not).

This is all still fairly fluid though and tbh we kind of fell into a routine rather than dictated to him. From about 4 weeks old we started putting him upstairs at 'bedtime' and this has helped him sleep for a longer initial chunk. Occassionally he wakes for a 10pm feed if he's hungry.

Hope that helps. How are you and Harry getting on aside from the sleep thing?

Wow 15 days late, bet that drove you mad at the time. how was the birth?
Me and H are doing good. H is lovely and smiley when not suffering from bad wind and abdominal pains which the little luv does suffer with quite a bit. I've taken ages to adjust to being a mum, after 37 years of pretty much doing what I want when I want and 15 years with my other half of us both leading a selfish life, it is one heck of an adjustment....but we are getting there.

How's about you? And thank you so much for asking!
