I think Sami (and possibly the boys) have hypermobility? She might know something when she gets back.
We've got quite a bit of snow here - and walked the school run. I did a comedy fall outside the co-op.Nothing hurt but my pride. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and was too scared to turn around and see if anyone had seen me.
Thank You and Oooooops:oMel - I'm hypermobile, but not double-jointed. I may always have been, but it was only picked up after I'd had Imogen when I had some foot problems. I also have one leg shorter than the other by about 1.5cm (sound like a right weirdo don't I?!) which doesn't help. It hasn't held me back (although I'm not that sporty) but have always been the most flexible in my yoga/pilates class. I managed to do pilates until I was 35 weeks pregnant with Alex and it has def been good for me. Sorry, bit of a ramble. HTH?
Alex slept til gone 6.30am this morning :T and that might only have been cos DH was in the shower which is next to his room. He wasn't even screaming for milk, which is back to how it used to be. Phew!
Imogen's at nursery having trekked through the snow, but expecting a phonecall to pick her up at some point. Perhaps I should be on my wii fit instead of on here and watching daytime TV?
Yay Alex....and thank you for the ramble....just a quick question (if you manage to read back!) Do you ache?
The consultant we saw at the hospital didn't really tell us much apart from be careful, avoid contact sports if possible as he is likely to injure more easily and keep stocked up on paracetamol as he will be prone to aches...He has always complained of aching legs, even if we have only walked for a few minutes. We always just thought he was exaggerating to get out of walking:oSeptemberBaby wrote: »Morning all
We hardly have any snow! Looks as though it tried last night but the rain washed it away.
Mel, can't tell you anything about hypermobility but I would be interested in any responses. My nephew apparently has it (but we're never told much detail) and he is still not walking at 2.
xx
As above....Never really got told much at all. When we first went about ds's feet they put it down to weak hips, meaning he would stand with his legs further apart and therefore creating foot trouble...however we now know it is his whole body!!! It is so frustrating that they never seemed to listen to us properly. It is also (possibly) the cause of him having difficulties holding pens/pencils and using scissors etc in school.....Only found that out on this website.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

I'd be annoyed too Em.
Can someone give me a kick in the pants please? I'm sitting here instead of finishing the last piece of work I need to do before getting to do other worky stuff at home. But the thing I'm doing is kicking my butt.
Also, I am feeling a really weird sensation in my lower abdomen, like bubbles but only on the leftish side. What's there, does anyone know? Have I just admitted to having embarrassing wind or is that something that might happen post-C section?
I dont know what it is but I get the same thing! and I had a section 9 months ago! I was thinking could be mini phantom kicks lol!
Hope everyones ok?
omg the snow is really coming down here, only started again last nite but its already about 15inches deep!!! jakes school have already been in touch to say they'l b closed tomorrow, which im secretley glad cos i like our little cosy days in! he's not impressed tho he was looking forward to going back,
im supposed to be picking a new car up this week as well, not sure how thats going to work out with this snow, esp since its a 40min drive away in normal conditions!

Thanks AF and Carla. OH has been here more than 3 years now, but between being a writer then SAHM (so never meeting anyone through work) and just being naturally shy she still has only a couple of friends and they aren't conveniently placed or scheduled.
She does have indefinite right to remain now, and yes it was an agonising paperwork process with loads and loads of hassle and cost! I can handle it if we go the other way, but ugh. I will be asking around at work though - as in theory my company are very big in the US and do support people relocating and would sort out green cards and stuff if I could find an appropriate job through them. However, I know they don't have many offices in Northern California.
Sorry to carry over from last night, but I was attending to grouchy baby most of the evening!
Bruno - a couple things. 1) tell me to butt out, but your DW might want to think about getting citizenship soon as not sure if you're aware all the rules are changing due to the new Act that was passed last year. Just FYI.
2) I really sympathise with her position, as I often feel the same way. I've been here over 3 yrs as well and have very few friends (mostly my own fault, I do acknowledge). And even though we live in London, I do feel a bit trapped in our flat as going anywhere either involves a bus (which costs ££) or a long walk up a steep hill.
3) does she post/belong to any expat forums online? Sometimes talking with other expats can help and they often have meet-ups, etc. I can PM you a really good one I've been posting on for yrs.
Anyway, good luck and it sounds like you're a very patient, loving husband (much like my DH, bless him). There's no easy solution really and I guess all you can do is some gentle prodding to get her out of the house more so she doesn't feel too overwhelmed.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Thank you for the sympathy! :rolleyes:Krystaltips wrote: »Also got some pretty dresses for the girls... They're so pretty I'd ordered 2 sizes for Caitlyn, but when you put them next to each other there's barely any difference..
I tried to order some dresses for V after you posted the link - but someone had already bought everything!
My M&S order has just arrived. Got V a lovely £8 coat for next winter size 18-24 months, but it doesn't look huge. I always thought M&S were massive sizes? (And a top for J, jeans for L and christmas cards):beer:0 -
What's everyone having for tea? I need some inspiration...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Af, is she being sick because she is ill or just being sick for no real reason?
MFD, hello you work shy stranger! :rotfl: Glad your getting good quality time with Benjamin, bet you look forwrad to it all day.
Lu T, do you have a stck to wear in your shoe?
em.... ohhh dear, hope he paid you back your Christmas money. I can just imagine your responce to him, rather colourful was it?
SM, I've found that a block of 12 hours (after a good day of feeding) seems to work. But then I am blessed with babies who love their sleep. Amber goes down anywhere between 6.30-8pm and thats her to anytime from 7-9am! But she will wake up around 10-11pm if she hasn't had enough milk that day and fights against taking more even though thats what she needs.
SS, my section scar is going through a very itchy/sore phase and I'm losing small patches of numbness so it feels very strage right now. I'm guessing it's just a healing phase (it does take a long time to completetly heal).0 -
I didn't laugh, 3, honest! :lipsrseal
Thanks, Mel. Will have a little nosey at that site later. Bit rubbish of the 'experts' not picking up on it earlier!
No snow here, JM!

No, were not snowed in:cool: The boys school txt this morning to say open as usual, as we do have a little snow, but nothing substantial.
I'm sure everyone will be delighted to hear that my marvelous sleeper did not sleep last night! He woke at 12pm then again at 4am and would not go back to sleep from that point on....I ended up downstairs with him for about 30mins and then put him back to bed, he kept chattering and whining, but I refused to pick him up again...I think he may have dozed for 20mins as he did go quiet at one point but he is so grumpy today he is getting right on my nerves to be honest:oUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
