Thanks for asking, they have improved but it's still not good enough IMO. I'm going to make it a priority to get myself on the council list for a 3 bed house, and i'm thinking i might ask my housing officer to give me a few more points for the "relationship breakdown" with both neighbours, i've heard they can do that in some situations. But it's worth an ask i think. I'll prob have 0 points because they'll say DD & DS can share til he's 11, but it's not bloody fair cos my sister got one and hers are only 1 & 4 :mad:

Just get yourself on that list. Even if takes a while, you'll be on the list now rather than in 3 months and you never know if your situation will change to get you more points.

I wouldn't want to put a boy and a girl in the same room until they were 11. Not an issue for me, but seems a bit old as development starts earlier than that.

Gawd, Amber poo's about 4 times a day, it looks like cheap curry sauce :rotfl:

I take it that's also normal though? I'd not really thought about it.

She's contently fallen asleep in her basket, while i was in the shower but i need to go out soon. Why couldn't she have done this at 2am when i was begging her to let me sleep!!

Caitlyn only poos every other day or so, and it's a lot firmer now - paste like, and there's not much of it fo all the effort she seems to put into it!

Took this the other day, it made me giggle

MOTM, i know, i wish i'd have put myself on the list years ago but they'd only let me go for a 2 bed then so i guess i'd be no better off. I don't think my DS is going to be happy about sharing with a 4 year old girl, when he's 11. Only other option is to keep her in with me, it's not like it's going to affect any relationship/sex life is it :rotfl:

thanks all! He doesn't seem distressed by it (as far as I can tell!) nor is there any hardness in his abdomen. I'll phone the HV when I get a chance this arvo but otherwise keep with the massage and see what happens. Weezl, that's what I've read - they won't consider it "constipation" until there's either hard pellets or blood. Finn's not had any of that - just no poo! (well he's had the odd streak but no actual poo for a week) He's had millions of wet nappies, so I know it's not a nutrional thing.

I'm drinking a big glass of OJ right now, but doubt that will help as I had a pint of OJ in the pub when sick on Sunday and that didn't move anything ;). I just want to get it over with now, as I know it will be explosive when it does come (a la emlou!)!! :p

oh dear - I always draw the blind & the curtain when J goes to sleep during the day :o If it's not dark he won't go down!

I differiantiate (I so know I've spelt that wrong!) day and night cos day he just goes down no fuss from me, night time - bath, massage, story (usually J & The Beanstalk! :)), bottle in our room, a cuddle then bed.

He has gone down now thanks.

I think he drank too much pool water today cos he's been a bit sick this afternoon!

Right, I said I was going to bed at 10pm. Still got bottles & lunchbox to do :o
I used to just draw the ciurtains but not blind for Chris but Jack is clearly a baby that likes to sleep in the dark (hense muslin over face thing) as long as he sleeps it doesn't matter :D and get OH to make his own sodding lunchbox! The only time I go anything for OH's lunch is when we have pasta I make extra and put it in a box for him (mean wifey :p)

oops, I've always been feeding with the bottle the milk's stored in in the fridge! didn't know there was a difference :p
    ....!
that's fine IMO the bottle was sterile when you expressed into it and the teat sterilised before you put it on, no? :)
Sami - I keep meaning to say I KNEW it was the Sparklebox guy who was done for child pornography. He got sent down again today, but only for a year

I can't believe that schools are still using his stuff and effectively funding him  Last time he was convicted there were school burning his material around here.
:eek:gonna look for news items on it to show my mum!

Choppy *hopes this doesn't sound condesending* why don't you strap her in the pram/buggy for naps?

Aless - as long as when he poops it isn't solid, once a week pooping is fine for a BF baby Ed has only gone 1 week once but he was still weeing lots and when it arrived is was liquid (and everywhere lol) so all fine :)

errm ran out of quotes and forgotten everything else... oh Glam :j:j yey for Jack Jack rolling!!!

omg have you seen Heidi sugababe's face? it looks like she's really old with liver spots

Only here quickly skim reading because I only made it into work at 11am!!! The CM was taking her girls for the swine flu jab this morning so I made a snap decision at 7am that it would be better for her and the girls if Benjamin didn't tag along....any excuse to spend an extra 3 hours with my boy!!

You wild night-time posters! Hope you've all at last dropped off for a few hours at least...

Elijah decided to wake at 4.30, having a quick wail then lengthy ongoing babblings to himself. Ignored him as long as possible, but at 5.15 he started banging his cot into the wall and I went and got him and tried sticking him in bed with OH for a BF. That didn't work and he was still very wide awake so I reluctantly got up with him.

A few minutes later OH got up to have a shouty rant about how he is not normal and !!!!!! is he doing waking up this early and he must have some mental disorder and she hates him. Would rather only deal with one set of tantrums at 5.30 so I told her to shut up and go back to sleep.

    Greh!

Do you think it is time that DW seriously pursued some help? This is not healthy behaviour IMHO. I say this with the greatest respect and in the interests of all of you xx

this is the link for iplayer for the programme last night, i only saw bits of it as i was feeding and settling kian.
the gist i got was as long as baby gets a balanced diet (plenty of fresh veg etc) they dont need follow on milk ( 1yr +). the c&g as about needing 20l of milk is a bit ott. no reason why after they turn 1 they shouldnt drink cows milk. sugar is added to lots of baby foods/drinks to make them sweet as babies 'apparently' need food/drink to be sweet to eat/drink.

for me the shocking bit was the fact that there is more sugar in 1 farleys rusk (presume its the normal one) than 1 choc digestive!!!!

and annabel karamel ready meals for toddlers...had more salt than tesco finest in the same type (cant remember which one)

need to watch it again myself when i have time later.

Edit - the bit below sounds a bit harsh but I don't mean it to be...just don't know how to re-phrase it, sorry xx
That shouldn't be a shock to anybody on here. We had this discussion a week or so ago...the general consensus was that rusks don't do any harm...

I personally, and I said this at the time, would never allow Benjamin to have a rusk.
(I do let him eat pizza though - I am not claiming to be an angel!! I just think the ingredients in rusks are shocking)

yeah, I've done some research but apparently it's near impossible for BF-babies to get constipated, so . but have read accounts that some just don't go very often! I think if he doesn't go today, I will deffo go to GP tomorrow as even if it's "normal", I still feel like he should have done a poo by now!

have been been tummy massage and bicycling legs since yesterday...had read the OJ trick but am reluctant to try...

By the OJ trick do you mean drinking OJ yourself?

What you eat will affect baby. If you drink OJ (or for me it was eating grapes) you will probably find that he goes pretty soon. Benjamin used to poo very infrequently (5-8 days) - these days it is 2 or 3 or even 4 a day, all in the morning according to his CM.

I wouldn't worry about a week TBH...although I am sure I did at the time!!
